Favourite Blushes! Products & Reviews!

Hey everyone! I never really cared much for blush, they were probably the last type of makeup I would have thought to buy. However, lately I have added a few to my collection, and a whole new world had opened up for me! I really think blush can add a healthy, pretty glow to the face.

As you all know, I am in love with Prestige cosmetics. They have a small range of blushes and one that stood out to me was from their Skin Loving Minerals range, in the shade ‘Terra Rosa’. In the pan, it’s a swirl of pink and light brown, with very fine shimmer throughout. Once blended into the skin, it shows up as a beautiful peachy/pinky colour. It also gives a glow to your skin. One thing about this blush is that the colour does not show up straight away when you apply it. It will appear after about 30 seconds. I don’t know if that is the case with all of their blushes, it’s just something I noticed with this particular shade. I think this shade would suit fair to medium skin toned girls.

Smooch cosmetics is a brand I came across by accident. I was browsing at my local chemist and I came across a bronzer that looked really pretty . I ended up buying it. I was at a discount makeup store some time later and they had Smooch blushes for $4.00 each. I picked up both colours. One is called Sugar Rush and the other is Kookie Crumble. Sugar Rush is a hot pink colour in the pan, but when applied shows up as a beautiful soft pink, I think it is buildable though, so you could probably intensify the colour if you wanted to. It’s in a powder form and is pretty pigmented. I really love this colour and use it quite often. This shade would suit from fair to darker skinned girls. Kookie Crumble is a a very light brown/pinkish colour with very fine shimmer. It’s a very soft colour when applied to the skin. If you are after a very natural glow to your skin, this brush would suit you. This shade would most likely suit fairer skinned girls.

The last blush that I will be reviewing is the Becca Beach Tint in the shade ‘Grapefruit’. Its technically not a blush (more of a multi use tint), but thats what i use it for. Now, I have had this for a couple of years, but I can’t make myself throw it away. I use it every now and then, especially in the summer time. Anyway, onto the review. It comes in a gel formula and you only need a tiny bit for a wash of colour across your cheeks. I use my finger to apply it. The colour really is similar to a grapefruit- it’s like a pinky/tangerine colour. It’s perfect for those days when you want a quick swipe of colour, but nothing to ‘made up’.
