Hey everyone! So I recently bought two Total Intensity Eyeshadows from the Prestige line. I had been eyeing them for awhile; I actually couldn’t decide which shade to get initially so I made myself go home empty handed in case I ended up buying the entire range haha. I am a bit of a Prestige addict- I discovered the range last year and have purchased quite a few of their products. I find the quality to be extremely good and just as good as higher end products.

When I was in Sydney for a weekend I went into a Priceline, tested the colours out again and finally decided on two shades- Hocus Pocus and Obsession. I could have easily bought the whole range- the shades were all beautiful and very wearable. I had heard that Hocus Pocus was a dupe for MAC Club. Since I had wanted to buy Club for the longest time (I don’t know why I never got around to buying it) I thought Hocus Pocus would be the next best thing. And Obsession is such a beautiful colour- it’s a shimmery blue eyeshadow with a lot of depth.
Well, I am officially in love! They are probably the best quality eyeshadows I have ever tried. They are creamy, blendable, extremely pigmented and the tones in each colour is gorgeous. And the more you blend them, the more intense they become.
Hocus Pocus shows up as a greenish/grey/red in the pan, with a lot of shimmer. However, it changes once you apply it and blend it out. It’s turns into a beautiful warm brown colour, which shows up some reddish green tones. So from some angles the colour is brown, and from other angles it shows up as a smoky greenish/reddish colour. It’s a bit hard to explain; it’s one of those colours that is multi faceted. I think this is a must have colour for brown eyed girls. It gives a smoky eyed effect effortlessly and is extremely flattering.

Obsession shows up as a medium coloured blue with shimmer in the pan. Once swatched, it is a soft smoky blue, that almost has a tinge of purple to it? It’s a bit hard to describe the colour. I can imagine using this for a smoky eye look- it would be a good alternative to black.

I like to smudge my eyes with Hocus Pocus, (upper and lower lid) and also blend a bit into my crease to add some depth. I then line my lower and upper rim with back liner, and add some mascara. This s a very simple, effortless way to wear it, and it gives a beautiful smoky look.
Obsession can also be used in the same way. I also like to smudge some into my lower rim to add a pop of colour to my eyes.
Have you tried any of the total intensity eyeshadows?
