Hey everyone! I really love Sundays. There is nothing like waking up and just doing whatever you feel like doing (provided you don’t have anything planned that is!). Today I just stayed home all day. I haven’t done that in so long and it felt great! However I did manage a trip to Chemist Warehouse, as I was in need of hair dye. The L’Oreal ombré hair kits are now available in Australia and I had been thinking of getting one for the longest time. So today I thought I’d take the plunge.
From left to right: L’Oreal Superior Preference’ hair colour in Tahiti, L’Oreal Wild Ombres Preference in 102.
I purchased the ‘L’Oreal Wild Ombres Preference’ hair colour, in number 102, which is for ‘very dark hair intense effect’. My hair is not extremely dark however I wanted a more subtle colour, as I’m not one for drastic changes. Hopefully it will work well on my hair.
I also purchased the ‘L’Oreal Superior Preference’ hair colour in number 4, ‘Tahiti’. This is a dark brown colour and one I used to use quite frequently when I was younger. I plan to use this dye first, and then use the ombré hair kit afterwards.
Of course it wouldn’t be a successful shopping trip without some new makeup!
I was browsing the makeup section and came across some new products from Revlon. I believe it was part of a new range released by the company, and they had quite a few products in the collection. I decided on the ‘Revlon Highlighting Palette’, in shade 010 Peach Glow. It looks quite similar to the Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks, as it has strips of colour that can either be used individually or mixed together.
A swatch- you can see it’s a beautiful soft peach colour.
Peach Glow is a beautiful warm peachy colour, with tiny particles of shimmer throughout. The powders are buttery soft and blend beautifully. I can’t wait to wear this over my cheekbones as a beautiful highlighter. It could even work as a light bronzer dusted on the face.
I hope you all had a wonderful Sunday!
