I thought I’d put together a post on how to achieve a natural and fresh makeup look. This look would be perfect for springtime, as typically we tend to wear less makeup in the warmer weather.
From top: Smooch blusher in ‘Kookie Crumble’, Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in ‘Darling’, DERMAdoctor DD Cream and Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Brightener.
Start off with a tinted moisturiser, like the DERMAdoctor DD Cream. Not only does this give a light and dewy coverage, it also contains an SPF of 30.
I’d skip eye makeup and instead apply an illuminator underneath the eyes and along the bridge of the nose. The Australis Paparazzi Perfect High Definition Brightener is perfect to brighten and illuminate the face. It’s a peach based shade with tiny gold flecks, and will help to cancel out any dark shadows on the face.
Next up is a light blush on the apples of the cheeks. I like the Smooch range of blushes, and a great shade is Kookie Crumble. This is a light peachy colour with flecks of shimmer throughout. It’s quite light, and gives the cheeks a subtle wash of colour.
Lastly, a pretty pop of colour on the lips will brighten the face and pull the whole look together. A soft shade from the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable range, such as the shade ‘Darling’ is perfect. It’s a soft pinky/purple colour that really complements a fresh complexion.
On hand, from top to bottom: Revlon lip crayon in ‘Darling’ and the Australis Brightener.
