I’m always drawn to glistening shimmering eyeshadows, like these Savvy baked mineral eyeshadows. Savvy is a brand that I’ve only recently discovered and so far I’m absolutely loving their eyeshadows, in particular their baked mineral eye shadow range. Baked eyeshadows are typically more pigmented in colour and creamier in textures than the usual powder eyeshadow.
From left: Gold Rush, Ultra Violet and Sunset Pink.
The three I’ve purchased so far are Gold Rush, Ultra Violet and Sunset Pink. Out of the three, Gold Rush and Pink Sunset are the most pigmented and creamy. You don’t need to apply much to get an intense colour. Ultra Violet is a beautiful shade but is slightly chalky. You need to apply quite a few layers to make the colour show up on the skin. All shades are very shimmery and give a pearlescent effect.
In terns of application, I love to apply Ultra Violet and Sunset Pink along my lower lash line for a pop of colour. Add some black eyeliner and mascara and it creates an effortless dramatic look. Gold Rush is beautiful applied to the inner corners of the eye, as it opens up the eye area and gives you that wide eyed look.
Have you tried any Savvy eyeshadows?
