I thought I’d do an in-depth review on one of my favourite bronzers- the Prestige Mineral Bronzing Powder. This bronzer is part of Prestige’s Skin Loving Minerals range and I have this in the shade ‘Rich Bronze’. It is hands down the best shimmery bronzer I’ve ever used. It even beats my beloved Napoleon Perdis bronzer. I’ve used this bronzer for a couple of years so I feel well equipped to write a review on it.
The best part of this bronzer is the texture. It comes in a powder form, but because it’s so incredibly creamy, it could pass for a cream formula. The texture is wonderful; when it’s buffed into the skin, it blends in incredibly well. This gives the skin a very natural, bronzed texture and does not look superficial in any way. The pigmentation is wonderful and not a lot of product is needed. This bronzer will therefore last you a long time.
As for the colour, ‘Rich Bronze’ is quite a deep brown/golden shade, even though it’s the lightest shade in the range. A light hand is needed for fairer skin tones; if you have medium to dark skin, you could get away with applying it more heavily. It does have an warm/golden tinge to it, so if you aren’t a fan of shades that lean towards orange, you probably won’t like this bronzer. It also contains quite a lot of shimmer, however it’s incredibly fine. It does not contain any glitter. Because the shimmer is so fine, it gives the skin more of a sheen than anything else.
It’s also buildable, so it can either be applied lightly or a bit more heavily, depending on your skin tone and how bronzed you want to be.
This is applied quite heavily, just it give you an idea of the shade. I didn’t use a filter so you can see the true colour. It’s quite golden in colour and contains shimmer.
I like to buff this into my cheekbones, on my hairline and down the bridge of my nose for a natural bronzed look. I tend to use this bronzer more so when I’ve got a tan, as my skin tans golden so it flatters my skin tone very well. I normally use a kabuki brush for application, as the denser hairs do a better job of buffing it into my skin.
I’m a huge fan of Prestige cosmetics and own quite a few of their products, especially from their Skin Loving Minerals range. The quality is amazing and the products are very pigmented.
Have you tried this bronzer?
