Ere Perez Real Rosehip Lipbar!

Hey everyone!

I hope you are all having a wonderful Saturday. It’s the Melbourne Cup next Tuesday here in Melbourne so for most people it’s a long weekend. In other news, I’ll be making a candy bar for my boss’ engagement party on Monday night. I bought a whole lot of candy from the South Melbourne Market…I think I went overboard.

This is only a portion of what I bought…I have the terrible habit of over-catering for everything.

Today I will be reviewing the Real Rosehip Lipbar in ‘Nude’ by Ere Perez. This was part of the ‘Brilliance Trio’ pack which also included the bronzer and the mascara (which I’ll be reviewing shortly). This lipstick is meant to nourish, protect and pout the lips with a soft nude tint and shine. There are quite a few colours included in the Real Rosehip range; I purchased it in the shade ‘Nude’. As usual, this product is fragrance free, vegan and cruelty free.

It quite red in the above photo but it’s not. It was really hard to get a true representation of the colour.

Review: I think I’ve found the perfect nude shade. As soon as I opened this up I knew it would be a true nude shade. This truly is the colour of your lips, but ‘better’ and I can imagine this shade suiting the majority of people, regardless of skin tone. It’s quite a pink-toned, rosy shade and is the perfect day lipstick. The formula is glossy and sheer: it’s not a very pigmented shade. I think it enhances the natural colour rather than add colour to it (which really is what a ‘nude’ lipstick is all about isn’t it?). I also find that it makes my lips look more plump and full.

You can see that it’s quite sheer and light.

I’ve been wearing this lipstick everyday to work and it’s the perfect way to finish off a natural look. I love the formula so much that I’ve actually ordered another one in the shade ‘Life’, which is a glossy red shade. I plan to review it shortly so stay tuned.

Have you tried this lipstick?
