I recently picked up Lena Dunham’s new book titled ‘Not That Kind Of Girl’. For those who don’t know, Lena is the creator, director and actress in the acclaimed T.V show ‘Girls’. Her novel is a collection of essays on various topics such as love, body image, work etc. Reading it, there are definitely parallels between her life and ‘Girls’. I’m a huge fan of Lena and her work, as it’s relatable and very honest. It’s a great read for any young woman and I would definitely recommend it.
In other news, The Body Shop have recently lowered their prices. This is great news for those who adore their products but couldn’t justify the prices. I picked up an item I’ve always had my eye on but never purchased, which is the Spa Wisdom Polynesia Monoi Miracle Oil. This oil is amazing. I’ve been using it on my skin and hair and it’s really helped to soften my skin and moisturise my hair, without making it oily. It also has a beautiful scent which lingers. I paid about $22 for it, which is reasonable.
Thanks for reading!
