The Natural Almond Oil mascara by Ere Perez has garnered somewhat of a cult following since its release. This is one of their best selling products and is endorsed by many, including beauty editors and celebrities.I’ve used this mascara for over a week so I feel ready to write a review.
This mascara is meant to treat the lashes with its natural waxes and organic almond oil while adding volume and length. It features a unique bendable brush which is meant to give the user a more controlled application. It is great for sensitive eyes and is also both fragrance and cruelty free. The website states: ‘Glossy black natural mascara with almond oil. Conditions and strengthens lashes with vitamin E. Ideal for sensitive eyes and contact lenses. All time best-seller, endorsed by beauty editors’.
Review: I had really high hopes for this mascara. I envisioned myself with luscious, glossy lashes, courtesy of the mascara. I think my expectations were too high, because I didn’t love this mascara right away. It’s not a bad mascara; it does add length and makes my lashes look quite dark which are things I look for in a mascara. The one thing that stops it from being a great mascara is the fact that is clumps. I end up having about three thick lashes instead of a full set, which is never a good thing. I’ve tried applying it in different ways, and I find the best way to apply it is to lightly coat the lashes. I do not build it up as I find that is what causes the clumping. I therefore find this mascara great for the daytime as it’s not too dramatic. However, I wouldn’t reach for this mascara for a dramatic lash look- I think I’ll stick to the Jordana Best Lash Mascara.
I should also mention that the formula smells like wedding cake icing! I happen to love wedding cake icing so it doesn’t bother me at all, however if you are sensitive to smell, then this may irritate you.
Have you tried this mascara? Did it work for you?
