A skincare regime + a self tanner

Hey everyone!

Hope you’re all having a great Friday night. I was in a cleaning mood tonight so I did my housework; now I’m relaxing with some wine while I write this blog. I’m really looking forward to the Christmas break; just being able to not rush around and having some time to myself will be great! I plan to sleep in, catch up on some reading and of course blogging.

I was at a supermarket in Seddon last week, which sells organic/vegan style food and products. Naturally, I found myself at the beauty aisle and came across a display of ‘The Jojoba Company’ products. They stocked individual, full sized products as well as travel sized packs. I’m always drawn to travel sized kits, as they’re a great way to try out products and you’re not stuck with the full size if the product doesn’t work for you. The one I picked up was the ‘Travel Essentials’ kit.

I’ve been using this range all week so it’s early days, however I have really been impressed by this range. The products have left my skin clean, very well moisturised and haven’t caused any breakouts or irritation. I find that the products sink into the skin well and don’t leave an oily residue. The Jojoba Bead Facial Cleanser cleans the skin whilst the beads gently exfoliate. I’ve been using the Hydrating Day Cream underneath my foundation every morning and I love the way it creates a silky base for the foundation. I apply the Intense Overnight Renewal Cream after I’ve cleansed at night and then apply a light layer of the jojoba oil to my face and and neck. In the morning, my skin is very well hydrated and glowing. I’m yet to use the Lemon & Coconut Hand Cream. I highly recommend this range, especially if you are after a natural, simple skincare regime.

I also picked up a self tanner from Woolworths last week. It’s by ModelCo and it’s the ‘Natural Tan Self-Tan Lotion in the shade Medium. I think it’s a new product by the range. It was on sale for $7 so I thought I’d try it out. It claims to be made from naturally derived ingredients and includes coconut oil, sweet almond oil, cocoa butter and macadamia oil, to name a few. The scent is amazing; it smells like coconuts. I’ve applied this tonight, so I’m hoping it will work out well. I’ll put a blog post up on it soon.

Have you tried any of these products? What did you think?
