The month of December is always filled with parties, events and a few blurry night outs! My workplace had their annual Christmas party last night, which was held at the Hophaus bar at Southbank. It’s a great venue overlooking the Yarra river and is good for people watching. There was a salsa dance lesson on offer which I was happy to try out!
Sorry for the unnatural pose- it was a very rushed photo!
I wore an Alannah Hill skirt, a Bardot top that I’ve had for years and my comfy Galani heels (not pictured).
I also went out tonight to a friends’ birthday drinks, which was held at the Acqua e Vino bar in Yarraville. This is a cocktail bar that has a burlesque vibe, and serves some pretty strong drinks! They have great music and tonight was no exception; the reggae band was awesome! I wore the same outfit as the previous night, as it was comfortable and I could dance in it.
A friend does charity work for a detention centre and organised a ‘shoebox’ challenge for Christmas, where you fill a shoebox with gifts and it is given to a child for Christmas. I filled mine with gifts for a 3 to 8 year old girl: Peppa Pig books, Disney princess colouring books and pencils, cute hair ties, a Barbie, Frozen toys and more. It’s such a great idea and anything that helps a child out is a winner in my eyes.
I went a bit overboard with my box…yikes. I have a habit of overdoing things.
How are you spending your weekend?
