It was my birthday last week and I’ve had a weekend filled with celebrations! After work on Friday my fiancé and I went to Rockpool Bar & Grill for dinner. It’s one of my favourite restaurants for special occasions and the food never fails to impress! I had oysters as an entree, rib eye steak for a main and passion fruit pavlova, all washed down with a margarita and a glass of wine! I definitely ate too much, but my justification is that it was my birthday.
I wore my new Sabo Skirt crochet purple skirt and a black top, with strappy Wittner heels. I don’t have a proper photo so you’ll just need to use your imagination!
Yesterday we had a little gathering for our families, to eat cake and plenty of cheese. I love gatherings at home, just because they are so casual and laid back and I don’t have to leave the house!
This was my official birthday cake. It was so so good! It’s from a French sweet shop on Chapel St, Melbourne.
I also baked these mini meringues filled with cream and fresh raspberries. The perfect party dessert, in my opinion!
My close friend made me a ‘cheesecake’. It’s a little joke between us that got out of hand! Ha ha.
I received some really nice gifts this year from friends and family. It’s always nice when people put the effort in to pick something personal. It really makes you feel special.
Some of the gifts I received: teapot, tea leaves, passion fruit and lime candle, a scarf, bracelet and a facial voucher.
I also treated myself to this Post It note dispenser from Costco. I’m a stationery addict from way back. It looks so cute in my study.
