It’s freezing here in Melbourne so it’s the perfect day to stay indoors and catch up on some blogging! I have a few blog posts lined up, so keep an eye out for those this week.
I received the May Bellabox on Friday, after it had been sitting at my parents house all week. I finally convinced my brother to bring it over so I could start this post. The theme this month was ‘Sugar Fix’ and here’s what was included:
The Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil.
Chella Cinnamon Highlighter Pencil. This is a bronze coloured creamy pencil that is used to contour and/or highlight the face. Contouring is all the rage right now (Miss K Kardashian anyone?) and many makeup companies are bringing out products to complete the job. To be honest, I’ve never tried it out but I have seen other bloggers do it and it looks amazing when it’s done correctly. This pencil is creamy enough to blend out onto the skin so I can imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to contour with this little tool. I’ll try it out and report back to you!
I want her makeup artist.
Aveda Stress Fix Body Lotion. This contains essences such as French lavender, lavandin and clary sage and is clinically proven to relieve feelings of stress, as well as provide long lasting moisture. I’m a fan of Aveda hair products and although I’ve never really tried any skincare products, I can bet they are just as good. This lotion smells amazing and it also left my skin feeling super soft.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Moisture Rich Night Cream. This is an overnight repair treatment that promotes smoother and younger looking skin. Bellabox have been including items from the range over the last couple of months and I must say I really like them. I’ve always loved Palmer’s products and find that they work well on my skin.
John Frieda Frizz Ease Unwind Curls Calming Creme. This creme is infused with olive oil and is used to fight freeze for all hair types. To be honest, frizz isn’t a problem I have when it comes to my hair. I do get it occasionally but it’s not something I worry about. It’s worth trying out though, with Winter approaching and all.
Milk & Co Hand Quench. This contains ingredients such as cocoa butter and Shea butter and leaves the hands feeling soft and supple. I suffer from dry hands and am forever moisturising them so I’ll get use out of this.
Bonus: J Bronze Face Flawless Tan. This is a sample size of Jennifer Hawkins’ face tanning gel. I haven’t tried this brand out yet, as I mostly use St Tropez and Xen Tan. I’ll definitely try this out and let you know my thoughts. That reminds me; I’m almost out of my St Tropez Dark Tanning Mousse and need to pick up another bottle.
To be honest, this month’s Bellabox was a little underwhelming. I like trying new products but this month just lacked a little. I can’t complain though; I received a great Bellabox last month!
What did you receive in the May Bellabox? Please let me know!
