We’ve had a very bleary start to Autumn here in Melbourne, and between the rain, icy nights and general blahness, it’s also brought on a flurry of illnesses. Of course, I haven’t been immune; I’ve been feeling under the weather over the last few days. On the plus side, it’s a good excuse to stay in and curl up with a good book!
Elf is a brand that I quite like; it’s affordable, good quality and boasts a pretty impressive product range. While in Kmart over the weekend, I picked up the Elf Luscious Liquid Lipstick in the shade ‘Pink Lemonade’. This is a glossy, dark pink lipstick with very subtle shimmer throughout.
It’s more pink toned in person; it was hard to capture the exact shade.
It features a sponge tip applicator for a precise application, a twist up method and the formula is light and non sticky. It is also surprisingly pigmented. But I think the best part is the price: it only cost $3. Lipstick is not a product I regularly buy, so it’s a great way to try out the different shades. There were about five different shades in store, and they seemed to be in a similar colour range; mostly pinks, ranging from light to dark.
This shade would look great for Autumn. I pln to wear it with my Ere Perez Cheek and Lip Balm in ‘Holy’, Ere Perez Natural Chamomile Eye Colour in ‘That’s Hot!’ and a smoky eye with plenty of mascara. A very dramatic look for the cold months ahead!
