Some time ago I received a sample size of the Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Creamy Cleanser & Makeup Remover from Bellabox. Palmer’s have recently come out with a full skincare range, including cleansers, face masks, a face oil and moisturisers. They are most famous for their nourishing body butters which add incredible moisture to the skin. I’ve been a long time fan for many years and regularly buy their hand creams and lip balms. All of their products contain cocoa butter, which acts as an emollient to bind moisturise to the skin.
Product information: ‘This ingredient’s (cocoa butter) superior properties aid in skin’s ability to retain its own moisture. It works with skin cells to protect from damaging elements, while retaining skin’s natural beauty and health’.

My review: I’ve trialled a few products from this skincare range and I’ve become a huge fan. In particular, the Creamy Cleanser & Makeup Remover. This is one of the best cleansers I’ve ever used. It has a very creamy formula, as the name suggests, and does a great job of removing all traces of makeup and grime from the face. It even removes waterproof mascara which is great. I love how the formula is very moisturising; it doesn’t feel like the skin is stripped of moisture after cleansing. It does not leave a tight feeling. In saying that, this product probably would not be suitable for those with very oil skin, as the formula may be too rich for the skin. The way I use this cleanser is to wet my hands, squeeze a generous sized amount into my palms and rub my hands together, creating a light lather. I then gently rub this onto my face in light circles. If the product feels too thick to lather up I simply add more water. I then rinse off with lukewarm water and pat dry. My skin is left feeling soft and clean, but not so clean that is has that squeaky clean feeling. I personally don’t like my skin to be squeaky clean as I feel like the natural oils are stripped away. This is more of a moisturising cleanser that leaves the skin feeling plump and hydrated.
This is a great everyday cleanser to use, as it won’t strip the skin of much needed moisture. I also need to mention that I wear very minimal makeup on a day to day basis, so I’m not sure how this product would go with removing heavy makeup.
