A few months ago I bought a dress from Stylekeepers here which is an online boutique store. I had seen this dress on Instagram and fell in love with the lace detail and feminine silhouette. I was so excited to wear it and even planned to bring it on holidays on me, but sadly it wasn’t to be. The dress did not suit my body type at all and was pretty unflattering on me. I’m quite petite and it totally engulfed me. The fabric was pretty heavy and it did nothing to emphasize my curves. I think this style of dress would really suit curvier types, but sadly this isn’t me…sob sob.
The dress that wasn’t to be…
I contacted Stylekeepers and was offered a credit note to the value of what I paid for the dress.
I had my eye on a few items but could not decide. I offered the credit note to my sister who ended up picking out a cami and cardigan set, one for each of us. There was only the grey shade left in our sizes so we quickly snapped them up.
It’s a really cute twinset, perfect for work with a pencil skirt or with jeans for the weekend. The fabric is soft and stretchy and feels really comfortable against the skin.
Sometimes you just want to keep your outfit really simple and easy and that’s why a basic item such as a twinset is great. It’s also perfect for trans season (or Melbourne weather, which is basically the same thing) as you can simply add the cardigan if it’s chilly or wear the tank on its own if it is a bit warmer.
What’s your basics staple?
