We can all admit it…deciding on a hair change is always difficult and a decision can be agonised over for months (or is that just me?) They say variety is the spice of life, and life definitely is too short to not try out new things. With summer approaching, now is the perfect time to be bold and make that change!
All my life I’ve basically had the same hairstyle- long, brunette and straight. I’ve mixed it up here and there, more so when I was younger, but most changes have been pretty subtle. The most adventurous change I have had in recent times is putting a red tint through my hair (I was too scared to commit to a permanent colour).
Lately, I’ve been thinking that I need a big change. Well, a big change for me means nothing too drastic. Especially after my holiday, as it played havoc with my hair (heat, sun and hair don’t mix too well). My hair is quite dry at the moment and the colour is fading. I was tossing up between letting the hair colour grow out so I could go back to my natural colour, or going a few shades lighter. My natural hair colour is a medium brown with highlights, which isn’t too bad I suppose, however sometimes it can look a bit dull. And we all know a new colour can really spruce things up and give us a fresh and polished look.
With the warmer weather coming up, I’m leaning towards a lighter look on the ends of my hair. This is a good idea, as it will allow me to grow out my existing colour faster.
I love how natural this looks.
However, I always naturally gravitate to glossy dark hair. I can’t go too dark, as it makes me look washed out, so I need to get the colour right if I decide on this option.
Who doesn’t love Kendall’s glossy locks?
I also need a good chop. My hair is the same length all over, so any change would work well. I love a blunt cut, so am leaning towards a good trim of the ends, and keeping it all one length. I used to have a fringe for the longest time (which I loved), but growing it out was an absolute nightmare. Does anyone else feel this way about fringes?
This is the perfect length hair…
...but as soon as I make the chop, I always want my old locks back!
Are you after a hair change?
