I picked up a few Sephora products on my travels and I am proud to say that they are all items I actually needed! I am a huge fan of the Sephora range as they are of supreme quality, have a huge colour selection and are comparable to higher end brands in my opinion. The last time I went away (to the US, over two years ago), I picked up a foundation, lipstick (okay, several lipsticks) and a lip liner from Sephora, all of which I used up. So I was hoping to replace them with fresh products, which is exactly what I did.
Here are the products I purchased:
Foundation: Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation in the shade ‘Cream #20’.
Lipstick: Sephora Rouge Shine in number 11.
Lip Liner: Sephora Lip Liner to Go in the shade ‘Nude Beige’. *I unfortunately don’t have any photos of this as I’ve misplaced it. When I locate it I’ll post some photos up!
The stopper feature.
My review: The Sephora Teint Infusion Ethereal Natural Finish Foundation has a light to medium coverage and is also buildable. I spent quite some time at the foundation section as there was so much choice. The Sephora brand has a huge selection of foundation and it was a bit tricky trying to find the best one for my skin. I tested out this particular foundation and immediately liked the texture of it. It is not a heavy foundation; as mentioned above the coverage is on the lighter side and is perfect for when you don’t feel like wearing too much makeup. That being said, it would probably be more suited to the warmer months than winter. I wore this a few times on my holiday and I loved how lightweight it felt on my skin. It has a strange consistency; it is quite runny and at first I didn’t realise that the bottle needs to be shaken to thicken it up. I would say it has a fluid consistency, as it is quite runny. The application is quite different too. Instead of a standard lid or a pump, it has a stopper. I personally prefer this type of applicator, as you can control how much foundation you need and it eliminates waste. I bought this in the shade ‘Cream #20’, which is funny because my other Sephora foundation is the exact same shade but I didn’t remember the shade number at the time.
This shade has a light olive tone, and is quite sheer on application.
The Sephora Rouge Shine lipstick is great. I own several of these lipsticks and I absolutely love everything about them. They are moisturising, pigmented and the colour range is huge. I came across this shade by mistake as I was trying to find my beloved shade in #12 but sadly could not find it. This shade seemed like a close match so this made it into the shopping trolley instead. It is a rose coloured shade with brown undertones and is a simple, understated colour. It is free from shimmer and gloss and instead just coats the lips with a beautiful sheen. A perfect daytime lipstick. I’ve been wearing it to work and it gives a classic, understated look.
Another swatch- it shows up a bit darker on camera.
Sephora Lip Liner to Go. Ok, I know everyones raves on about the MAC lip liners but this is my version of a HD product. I absolutely love love love this lip liner. Really, they couldn’t have gotten the shade any more perfect if they’d tried. ‘Nude Beige’ truly is the perfect nude lip liner. Do yourself a favour and pick one up if you are ever in Sephora. If ever I feel like defining my lips without wearing lipstick I simply line my lips with this and add some lip gloss. It is also great if you want to make your lips appear larger, as you can outline just outside the lipline without it looking obvious.
