October Bellabox!

I received the October Bellabox about a week ago but haven’t had a chance to get this post up earlier so I apologise! I’ve been trying to get my holiday posts up (before my memory fades) so they have taken priority. Add a couple of weekend trips into the mix and I am well and truly behind on my blogging schedule! Without further ado, let’s get to the eagerly awaited (well, for me anyway) little blue parcel of goodness!

First of all, happy 4th birthday to Bellabox! I almost feel like I should have baked a cake…🎂

This month’s box was chock full of treats, very fitting for a birthday theme! Here’s what was included:

Coastal Scents Blush Duo. Each Bellabox member received a Coastal Scents sampler this month; a selection of either eyeshadows or blush from their range. I was really hoping for the eyeshadows, as I’ve tried them out before and absolutely love the quality (incredibly creamy with super intense pigmentation). Instead, I received a blush duo, in the shades ‘Beautiful’ and ‘Royal’. To be honest, I don’t really wear blush as I naturally have rosy cheeks however I think I’ll be trying these out. The shade ‘Beautiful’ is a deep rosy pink colour and ‘Royal’ is deep reddish colour. Both are incredibly pigmented and have a very soft (almost creamy) texture. If all of the Coastal Scents products are this good I’d definitely be interested in purchasing a palette.

Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Nourishing Facial Water. This facial water is infused with nutrients and is designed to help restore hydration back into the skin and prepare the skin for moisturiser. It claims to improve the texture of the skin and leave it feeling fresh and rejuvenated. Bellabox have included a few samples of Burt’s Bees products in the past and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed each one. I actually thought this was a cleansing water, similar to the Garnier version. It was only until I read the label that I realised it is to be applied after you cleanse the face, and before moisturiser. I’m looking forward to trying this out. Burt’s Bees is a brand that I’ve never purchased before but have seen around Myer and Priceline. I like the look of their travel packs; perfect for trying out their range without committing to a full sized product. I might pick one up when I’m in Priceline next time.

Schwarzkopf Essence Ultime Omega Repair Shampoo and Conditioner. This range is designed to repair damaged and depleted hair. I love receiving hair products in my Bellabox as I rarely spend much money on hair care. Plus, my hair tends to get used to products after I’ve used them for awhile and they lose their effect. I try to change up my products every week so my hair stays fresher and cleaner for longer.

Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash Pink Grapefruit Foaming Scrub. This cleansing scrub is designed to treat and prevent breakouts, without over drying the skin. I’ve had a few bad experiences with Neutrogena in the past so I’m hesitant to try any new products out. However, I might give this a go and see how my skin reacts.

QVS Shine Control Tissues. As the name suggests, these blotting tissues are designed to absorb excess oil from the skin and help to keep the complexion fresh. I’m not sure why, but I sadly did not receive these in my box. I suppose the packer forgot to include them… : (

QVS Double Ended Complexion Brush. This is a double ended brush which is designed to achieve a flawless complexion. One end is for the application of liquid foundation and the other end is designed to apply powder with. I like the idea of a two-in-one brush, as it saves on storage space, and it guarantees that you’ll always have both brushes on hand.

Bonus: Macadamia Natural Oil Luxurious Oil Treatment (not pictured). This oil is designed to rejuvenate and care for the hair. I am a huge fan of hair oils and regularly use them on the ends of my hair. I used some of this oil last week after washing my hair and I found my hair to be quite smooth after it had dried.

Extra: U by Kotex Sport Ultrathins. These sanitary pads are a ‘sport’ version and designed to move with the body whilst exercising. Receiving sample pads feels very ‘Girlfriend’ magazine to me, but I have to admit that I love receiving these type of samples. We’ve all been there; your period has come early and you are frantically rummaging through all of your handbags, hoping to find a spare one somewhere. And sanitary pads are products that we all know we will use, so they definitely won’t go to waste.

I am pretty happy with this month’s contents; I like receiving samples and trying new products out, and I feel that this month’s box has achieved that.

What did you receive in your Bellabox? Please share below!
