October Catch Up!

Hi guys!

I’ve decided to start a regular monthly post to show what I’ve been up to, my current favourites and anything else that comes to mind! I always tend to think my life is a series of repetitive tasks with no excitement but when I look back it’s not that way at all! This will be a post solely focused on ME- I’m trying to incorporate some more personal/lifestyle posts into this blog, as I normally love reading these types of posts from other bloggers. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Lately I’ve been trying to drink more water but sometimes find it hard. I find adding fresh mint and lemon wedges to a glass helps me to drink more.

My little brother, mum and I!

My mum turned 60 this month and we took her out for lunch at the Poyntons nursery in Essendon.

I also took a weekend trip to Mildura to visit relatives. I was actually born in Mildura and my grandparents had a vineyard there for many years. We used to visit every year up until I was about 18. Every time I go I always forget how much I like Mildura (but I’m still a city girl at heart).

I love the way this Mildura cafe is decorated! They sold homewares, and I came very close to buying a pineapple shaped wine rack (which I never knew I needed).

Halloween has gotten bigger in Australia over the last few years. I came across some fun themed Lindt chocolates and thought they’d be perfect for any trick or treaters that might come to my front door.

A friend recently introduced me to the Hippie Lane app and I’ve fallen in love! I’ve made a couple of the raw desserts and they are so tasty and so easy to make. I follow the owner of the app on Instagram and I’m obsessed!

I found this photo on Instagram recently of this beautiful crochet skirt. I have some crochet skills and would love to make this!

I’m taking my mum to Daylesford this weekend. It is a gift for her 60th birthday. We originally planned to go to New York (!) but she has a phobia of planes so those plans are on hold for now (insert sad face). I’ve booked us at the Frangos hotel. Each room is themed and decorated differently from each other. I’ve booked us the ‘Carousel’ room, which I only just found out is geared towards couples…ha ha! My mum really wants to go to the Mills Markets, which is filled with antiques and plenty of vintage trinkets.

Finally, I’m always on the lookout for new blogs and have found a couple that I’ve become slightly obsessed with.

The VivaLuxury by Anabelle Fleur. Ok, I just want to be her. Her blog is more of a high end glossy magazine than a mere blog (especially when compared with mine!) and her photos are incredible.

Teddi Set Go by Teddi Ginsberg. Teddi blogs about her fitness regime, what she eats and her day to day life. Her blog is easy to read and almost feels like listening to a friend.

That’s what I’ve been up to this month. Please comment back and share what you’ve been up to in October!
