The December Bellaboxes came really early this month. They normally get sent
out at the end of the month, however deliveries started early due to Christmas.
The theme this month was ‘Be Bright, Be Beautiful’, and the products certainly
fit that (well, the bright part anyway!). Here’s what was included:
Kevin Murphy Colour.Bug. This is temporary hair chalk that adds a streak of
bold colour to your hair. I was pretty excited to receive this product, as I’ve
always wanted to dye my hair a crazy colour (that’s about as wild as I get).
It’s a fun idea, especially for the holiday season. I was hoping for pink
or blue, but instead I received orange. The colour is really bright and fun, so I think I’ll try it out.
Kevin Murphy Colour.Bug. The colour is very bright and vivid.
Clearasil Superfruits Refreshing Toner. This gentle toner prevents blemishes
and helps to control oil. It contains raspberry and cranberry extracts and
vitamin B3. This toner was at the Bellabox pop up store as an item we could
select for our personalised box. I wasn’t too interested in it at the time, as
I’ve been using a Clinique toner which I’m really happy with. Clearasil is a
brand that I used in my younger years; it was heavily geared towards teens when
I was in high school. I never suffered from acne then (those were the years)
but I did use some of the range in my early twenties, when acne hit hard. I
am always cautious when trying out new skincare products, as my skin has a tendency
to react and break out. So I am unsure whether I’ll try this out; my skin has
been really good these last few months and I don’t want to jeopardise it.
Waxaway Ready To Use Wax Strips. These salon quality wax strips are perfect for when you need quick, easy and flawless results. Included was the following: 1 After Care Wipe, 4 Reasy To Use Wax Strips and 1 sample size Bump Eraser. Hair removal products always come in handy, especially in the warmer months when you need a last minute touch up. I tend to shave my legs and underarms, and use wax for the smaller areas on my body so these sample wax strips will come in handy. I’m really interested in the Bump Eraser, as I suffer from terrible ingrown hairs whenever I wax my legs.
Jamberry Nail Wraps. This is a new nail trend that has been all over
social media lately. The wraps are made from a durable material which mans no chipping or smudging. They can last up to two weeks on fingernails and up to four weeks on toes. I like the idea of nail wraps and will try it out; I also love the pattern that I received.
Avon Femme EDP. This feminine and girly perfume includes notes of gardenia blossom and magnolia. The scent is light and floral, and perfect to wear during the warmer months. Bellabox included 4 vial samples of this perfume, which is a generous sample size. As I
don’t normally wear perfume, I’ll be passing this onto my mum.
Bonus: Jamberry Nail File. Standard beauty item that I’ll keep in my
Bonus: U by Kotex Tampons. Another standard item.
This months’ Bellabox is pretty good. While I don’t love all of the products, I’m happy to try them out, which is what the Bellabox concept is all about.
The products that I’ll definitely use are the Jamberry Nail Wraps and the Wax strips. I’ll also try out the Kevin Murphy Colour.Bug. I’ll most likely pass the other products onto family and friends.
It’s all part of the experience with Bellabox
and I definitely don’t expect to love every single product I receive. I
absolutely love the products I picked out at the Bellabox pop up store so that
does help to alleviate my slight disappointment with this month’s box!
What did you receive this month? Were you happy with it?
