January Bellabox!

After a very busy day of work it’s so nice to be at home, with all of my chores down and nothing to do except blog and watch television (I’m watching Dirty Dancing for the millionth time. Does this movie ever get old? I think not). It’s so important to take time out for yourself, even if it’s just an hour here and there. I personally need time to myself. Constant social interaction can exhaust me and sometimes I need to be alone so I can decompress. Does anyone else get like this?

Onto the beauty talk!

January’s Bellabox theme was ‘Celebrate Me’, and there was a great mix of products to try out. Here’s what was included:

The Body Shop Italian Summer Fig. This fragrance is meant to evoke thoughts of summer, thanks to the hand picked figs from the Puglian Coast of Italy. As someone who rarely wears perfume, I actually really like this scent. Upon spraying it on my wrist, I thought it smelled quite ordinary…until I smelled the most beautiful note (is that the right word?). It has a very soft, almost creamy smell and it’s the perfect scent for summer. I will definitely be using this perfume.

Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Intensive Cream. This deeply nourishing moisturiser is perfect for dry and sensitive skin. I’ve never really suffered from dry skin, until recently. For some reason, my legs can itch like crazy and I find applying moisturiser helps to settle this. I plan to use this moisturiser on my legs and arms.

Essie Nail Polish. These polishes are chip free, come in a mouthwatering range of shades and just look so cute lined up in a row (or is that just me?). I received this in a beautiful milky pink shade, however I passed it onto a friend so I don’t know the name of it! (By the way, the Essie pictured in the first photo is not the one I received. It’s a stand in model ha ha). I’m becoming a huge fan of Essie polishes, and am slowly building up my collection (I used to be an OPI girl).

Cetaphil Suntivity SPF 30 Ultra-Light Fluid. As the name suggests, this is a lightweight sunscreen fluid with a matte finish. I have almost finished up my beloved Clinique city block so this will be the sunscreen I reach for next. Living in Australia, the sun is really strong so I always make a habit of applying sunscreen.

The Monomola Peel Off Lip Tint in ‘Sexy Red’. I love the glossy shade and how retro is the packaging

Monomola Peel Off Lip Tint. This is an innovative product from a Korean brand called Monomola. Simply apply it to the lips, wait two minutes and peel off. It leaves lips with a soft tint that lasts all day. I picked my shade beforehand and my choice was ‘Sexy Red’. I haven’t tried this out yet but I’m curious to see how it will look.

Bonus: Lavera Firming Day Cream. Sample size of the Lavera Firming Day cream with karania oil and organic green tea.

I’m really happy with this month’s box; I feel like Bellabox got the product selection right, and the best part is I can see myself using all products.

What did you receive this month?
