My love for natural beauty products is continuing and the latest item to join my bathroom collection is the Goats Moisturising Shampoo with Coconut Oil. I picked this up on a whim from Chemist Warehouse whilst browsing on my lunch break because a) it was on sale for $4, b) I hadn’t tried a goats milk shampoo and c) I’m obsessed with coconut anything. When I got home later that night I went online and read up on the Goat Skincare company. I was happy to learn their products are free from harsh chemicals, parabens and sulphates. The goat milk in the product is ethically farmed and all products are Australian made and owned. Goats milk has very similar PH levels to human skin and is known to relieve itchy, dry and irritated skin.
I was initially worried that coconut oil may leave my hair greasy, but that was not the case at all. After washing my hair and leaving it to dry naturally, I woke up with really clean, fresh feeling hair and I had lots of natural volume which was amazing as I have heavy hair and it normally falls flat if I use the wrong shampoo. The shampoo does contain milk protein which is known to strengthen the hair and I assume thicken as well. I normally wash my hair every second day as it gets a bit oily at the roots but I think I could get away with an extra day without washing using this shampoo.
This is a great everyday shampoo as it can be used for the whole family, and is safe for newborns and pregnant women. If you suffer from a dry, sensitive scalp I recommend trying this shampoo out. If you’re not a fan of coconut oil, it also comes in Lemon Myrtle, Argan Oil, Oatmeal and Manuka Honey, with accompanying conditioners and body washes.
I’d be interested to try out some of the other scents, and will purchase when my current shampoo runs out.
you tried anything from the Goat Skincare range? What did you think?
