It’s that time again…Bellabox time! Did everyone have a great weekend? I did. I made it to Season 4 of Gossip Girl, which means that my social life was put on hold this weekend. But it was worth it. Especially to see Chuck and Blair get back together.
I can’t believe we’re up to the February Bellabox already. This month’s theme was ‘Get Ready With Me’, which makes me think of reading Cosmopolitan and CLEO magazines in my younger years. I used to absolutely love when they had those step by step articles on getting ready for a night out; I think I liked the getting ready part more than actually being out. Lol.
Anyway, I digress. Here’s what was included:
Swisse Micellar Makeup Remover. This is a rinse free cleansing water formulated without harsh soaps and chemicals. It seems like every brand is bringing out their own version of cleansing waters. I’ve used the Garnier one and really liked it, so I’m looking forward to trying out this one. I’ve used a few of the Swisse skincare products and I find they are really effective on my skin. It’s a good quality, affordable brand and is also made in Australia.
Physiogel Daily Moisture Therapy Bosy Wash. This body wash is designed to cleanse, soften and hydrate dry, sensitive skin. Bellabox included a body cream from the Physiogel line last month and I absolutely loved it, so I’m sure this one will be no different. My skin has been pretty itchy lately, so a soothing and mild body wash might just help with that.
Nivea Silk Touch Aerosol Deodorant. This deodorant has a fast drying formula and interestingly, is also infused with ultra find Kaolin powder, which helps to keep skin feeling smooth. To be honest, I’m not a huge fan of aerosol deodorants; I’ve always used the roll on versions, as I feel it better protects me. However, I will try this one out, and because it’s small, I could always save it for travelling.
The Designer Brands Kohl Eye Pencil in ‘Violet’.
Designer Brands Kohl Eye Pencil. This is a pigmented eye pencil, enriched with skin loving ingredients and does not contain talcs, parabens and is vegan to boot. Designed Brands are slowly becoming one of my favourite budget brands. The quality is excellent for the price you pay. I’ve worn this eye pencil on my bottom lashes and I love how it gives my eyes a subtle pop. I wouldn’t mind picking up this pencil in a blue shade.
From left: Avon Luxe Couture Creme Lipsticks in shades ‘Polished Rose’ and ‘Silky Apricot’.
Avon Luxe Couture Creme Lipsticks. This is a new range from the Avon Luxe range and the lipsticks boast silk extracts and a natural plumping complex. Easily my favourite products of this month’s Bellabox, I am in love with these lipsticks. They glide onto the lips and the shades are just beautiful. The shade Polished Rose is a beautiful deep rose with incredible pigment. Silky Apricot is a coral/apricot shade also with great pigment. My mum used to buy me Avon products growing up and I’ve forgotten how much I like them. I plan to pick up a couple of these lipsticks; I have my eye on the ‘Glam Poppy’ and ‘Nude Slip’ shade.
Sample: Dermal Therapy Platinum Heal Balm. I’ve received a sample of this foot cream before and it worked really well on my heels.
Hello Fresh Gift Card valued at $35. This is a gift card for a company that deliver ingredients to your front door, to make healthy and tasty meals. These gift cards are always handed out around Flinders street; I’ve received about half a dozen so far. I’m not sure whether I’d ever sign up; I prefer to buy my own ingredients and cook my own recipes, however it’s a great idea for those who are time poor and want tasty and quick meals.
