July Bellabox

The July Bellabox was titled Back to Basics and it was filled with a pretty random selection of products. I’m really happy with this month, as I know I’ll be using the majority of the products, especially the Klorane and Physiogel products.

Klorane Shampoo with Quinine and B Vitamins. This is a revitalising and strengthening shampoo, perfect for restoring thickness to lifeless hair. I love any type of thickening shampoo and find that they work well on my hair, even though my hair is already pretty thick. Plus, I always like to switch up my shampoo brands just so my hair doesn’t get too used to anything. Klorane is a French brand and although it has been around for years, I’ve never had the opportunity to try it out. The sample is decent sized so I’m hoping to get a few uses out of it.

Klorane Conditioner with Quinine and B Vitamins. This thickening conditioner is designed to be used in conjunction with the Klorane Shampoo with Quinine and B Vitamins. I never match my shampoo to my conditioner, as I tend to buy quality shampoos and use a basic conditioner on my ends. I’m interested to see the effect of using marching products and the effect it has on my hair.

Physiogel Calming Relief Lotion. This lotion provides long lasting hydration, protects and repairs the skin’s moisture barrier and relieves dry, irritated skin. Even though I haven’t tried this out yet, I know I’ll love it, purely because I’ve loved other products from this range. If you suffer from dry skin and crave some relief, I highly recommend using a Physiogel product. It’s a great product to have around in the winter months.

Gosh Mono Eye Shadow. I received this in the shade ‘Aubergine’ and the name closely resembles the shade. It’s a beautiful purple with brown undertones and contains very fine shimmer. The pigmentation was pretty good, slightly chalky but the colour payoff was really nice. I don’t know much about this brand so I did some online sleuthing. I found out that Gosh is a Danish brand that introduced its first product in 1979. They offer a wide range of makeup in colours that are bright and fun.

Revo Lip Balms. Enriched with Aloe and Vitamin E, these on the go lip balms condition and protect the lips. They have a similar shape to the famous Eos lip balms and are perfect for throwing into your handbag or travel bag. The unique design ensures there are no messes and it’s also hygienic, as you don’t need to use your fingers. I received this in the strawberry scent and it has a pleasant smell. It’s also really moisturising, much more so than the Eos brand. I find most regular lip balms to be drying on my lips, so I tend to stick to the Lip Eze range. I’m really happy with the Revo lip balm, and I plan to keep using this.

Baimeni Hydrating Eye and Face Serum with Hyaluronic Acid. I find it intriguing that this product can be used on both the eyes and face, especially because it contains Hyaluronic Acid, which helps to hydrate, rejuvenate and control excess oil. I’m not sure if my eyes produce excess oil, but I do love a face serum so I’m looking forward to using this. The small vial looks more medicinal than cosmetic.  The texture of the serum is light with a slightly sticky feeling and is absorbed into the skin right away. I’m looking forward to trying this out.

Bonus: Palmers Facial Cleansing Oil. Bellabox included a sample size of this deep cleansing face oil. I love anything by the Palmers range and have tried out quite a few of their face products. Face oils are so popular right now and it’s a great choice during the colder months.

Bonus: Sweet and Sparkle $30USD Gift Card. Sweet and Sparkle is an online store specialising in vintage, one of a kind jewellery pieces. I like the concept of this and plan to check the website out.

Bonus: Hello Fresh $35 Gift Card. I’ve received so many of these in past boxes, and they are forever being handed out at Flinders Street station. I’ve never used one and I probably ever won’t.

Thanks for reading!
