BEUTY EDIT: What's in my beauty case for Byron Bay

In three
weeks’ time I will be en route to my favourite place on earth, Byron Bay. It’s
going to be a four day break filled with long walks, eating healthy, delicious
foods and just enjoying some free time. Being a short getaway, I don’t plan to
pack too much in my makeup/toiletries case as I really prefer to keep it simple
when on break. My skin has been pretty clear for the past few months (fingers
crossed it stays that way) and for the first time in a long time I’ll be
comfortable enough to wear very minimal coverage. I am also in the slow process
of replacing all of my everyday makeup with organic, cruelty free products so
this is something that I’ll be sharing with you all as I go! It’s a small
challenge I set for myself and while I will continue to wear regular makeup for
nighttime/going out, I feel strongly that the products I use the most should not
harm myself or any other living creatures. If this is something that you’d be interested
in reading about be sure to let me know! I will be packing my toiletry case
with mostly organic, natural based products to ensure my skin does not get
irritated on the trip. I’ve accumulated a large collection of trial sized products
over the last few months so this is the perfect chance to use them. Also, I
know that I’ll most likely be buying some new makeup/skincare from Byron because
they have a huge selection of organic, vegan products so I’ll need the extra room in my luggage (always thinking ahead I am). Here’s what I will be

Face Cleanser. Organic Spa Cream Cleanser. I have a few sample size Organic Spa products that I want to use up so I’ll be packing the cleanser with me. It should be enough for four days, and I’m also bringing wipes too so that should be sufficient.

Face Wipes:
Wotnot Natural Wipes or Cocofixation Facial Wipes. Most likely the Cocofixation wipes as there are 5 in the pack as opposed to 25 in the Wotnot pack which takes up less space.

Face Moisturiser: Organic Spa Day Cream. I’ve been using this cream day and night and it works so well with keeping it hydrated and soft. I’ll most likely take a sample size as I’ve almost finished my full sized tube.

Sunscreen: OCosmedics Mineral Pro SPF30+ Triple Defence Protection sunscreen in Untinted. I always, always wear sunscreen, even in winter. I’m still using this sunscreen which I absolutely love. It’s non greasy and absorbs into the skin very well.

Face Serum: Antipodes Skin Brightening Serum. This is great for adding a glow to otherwise dull skin and provides an extra layer of hydration. I’ve personally noticed a difference in my skin after using it and it’s quickly become a favourite product.

Face Mist: Rasasaras Skinfood Hydrating Mist. This was originally going to be my travel face mist however I’ve recently been using it after applying my makeup and I love how it leaves my skin dewy and fresh. It’s perfect for some extra hydration.

Exfoliator: Kora Organics Exfoliating Scrub. I will be using this for both my face and body. I would normally take my Clinique exfoliating scrub but it’s too expensive to use on the body and my Kora scrub is almost finished so I’d rather use that up first.

Deodorant: Arbonne Pure Mint Deodorant. I recently switched over from the Nivea Pearl Beauty deodorant (which I had been using for years) to this Arbonne one. This is aluminium free, paraben free and uses natural ingredients to neutralise bad odour.

Shampoo/Conditioner: I will most likely take the Growth Alchemist trial sized products I received in a David Jones sampler bag. I’ve used it a couple of times and I really love how clean my hair felt afterwards, not to mention the incredible scent.

Body wash/Body moisturiser: MooGoo travel pack. I have been saving this for my trip, although I have been testing out the products over the last few days. The body moisturiser is amazing; I can’t believe how my skin felt after application and the way my skin stayed so hydrated afterwards. It really is a great product, however I’m not the biggest fan of the scent (I prefer fruitier scents). I am yet to try out the body wash. As for the shampoo/conditioner, I was debating whether to take these or my Growth Alchmist sample sizes. The Growth Alchemist products are smaller and half empty so I might take them along to finish them up.

Tinted moisturizer: Dusty Girls Earth Cream. I don’t think I’ll be packing a fuller coverage product as I want to keep my face as bare as possible. This cream provides decent coverage and hides minor blemishes.

Lip Balm:
Kora Organics Vitamin Enhanced Lip Balm. I only recently started using this and it’s already bypassed my beloved Lip Eze lip balm. I like to apply it before bed and in the morning and I am sure that’s the reason my lips have been so silky smooth recently!

MAC Asian Flower and Jelly Lipstick. These are both long wearing and provide a nice burst of colour. I also plan to purchase some Ere Perez lipsticks from Byron Bay as I’ve just about run out of my beloved Rosehip Lipbars.

MAC Zoomlash. This is the only mascara I have at the moment so I’ll be packing it with me.
It’s perfect for adding some drama, especially because I’ll be keeping the rest of my makeup to a minimum.

Bits and Pieces: I’ll also take a few random samples such as face primers, face masks and skin oils.

As you can see, I’m not packing much makeup but I will be maintaining my skincare routine because I really don’t want to disrupt it. Anyone whose ever suffered from acne/skin problems knows that when you find a routine that finally works, you’re sticking to it!

Let me know below what you pack on getaways and thanks for reading!
