I was recently lucky enough to attend the Winter Skin Saver Event hosted by The Body Shop. We were all treated to luxurious skin treatments, yummy food, champagne and time to play with all of the amazing products.
Upon walking in, we were given a brief overview of the evening and then split into small groups to begin our treatments.
With our champagne in hand, we went over to the first station. Using the new Spa of the World body care range, we gave ourselves a luxurious hand treatment. We exfoliated using the African Ximenia Scrub and the Dead Sea Salt Scrub, detoxified with the Himalayan Charcoal Body Clay, oiled up with the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil and moisturised with the Japanese Camellia Cream.
The Spa of the World range allows you to replicate a spa ritual at home and is designed to nourish the body and relax the mind. There are three collections within the Spa of the World range: Relaxing, Blissful and Revitalsing. The entire range is of very good quality and is perfect for those pamper nights. My personal favourite was the Hawaiian- inspired Blissful Ritual range, as the products had the most amazing coconut scent.
The next stop was a personalised one-on-one skin consultation. We completed a short survey about our skin type, our main skin concerns and current skincare routine. A swab was taken of our skin to determine our skin type. I was diagnosed with combination skin and was given recommendations of products to try out.
Using our recommendations, we were then treated to a mini facial. The consultants used a variety of products on our skin, and it was a great way to try before buying. Unfortunately for me, my skin reacted badly (it tends to do that with new products) so my consultant washed it all off and applied some aloe vera cream which soothed it almost immediately.
We sipped on champagne and Pellegrino water and snacked on sushi between stations, and it was so relaxing, the perfect way to cap the day off.
The Body Shop were also incredibly generous by giving us 20% off all products in store. I picked out an Eye Mask, the French Lavender Massage Oil and the Coconut Body Butter (still my favourite after all these years). I accidently picked up the Lavender Massage Oil instead of the Polynesian Monoi Radiance Oil, so I plan to purchase that soon.
We were also gifted with an incredible goody bag. Included were a Facial Massager tool, Vitaman E Moisture Cream, Vitamin C Skin Boost, a sample of the Red Musk perfume, sample of the Oils of Life Facial Oil and the Hemp Hand Protector.
I grew up using The Body Shop products and they remain a firm favourite of mine, especially when I’m after some luxurious body products. This event was a great way to try out some different products, and to have some fun while doing so!
