Hello and welcome back for another edition of monthly products round up! It’s a bit late this month so let’s just right to it! Here’s what I’ve been using during October:
Too Faced Better than Sex mascara. I technically bought this in November but I’ll just include it under October! I had almost finished my MAC Zoomlash mascara and while I liked it, I didn’t love it. I used a sample of the Better than Sex mascara years ago, which was included in a Too Faced travel pack. I remember using every last drop out of the mini tube, that’s how much I loved it! When I was at Mecca last week I decided to pick up a full size tube and am so happy I did because it is awesome. This is the ultimate mascara for creating long, fluffy lashes and it has the best formula ever. If you like a dramatic look I highly recommend this mascara. If also comes in a waterproof formula, so you can wear it through basically anything.
Repurchase? Yes. Once I finish this tube I plan to pick up the waterproof version.
Sienna Byron Bay Nail Polish in Cherish. I picked this up at the Bangalow art and craft markets on my recent getaway. The Sienna colour range is so pretty that it was definitely hard to pick just one polish, but I ultimately decided on a neutral shade that goes with anything. Enter Cherish, a beautiful peach/nude shade that can be worn with literally any outfit. The formula is great as it doesn’t chip easily and I found that one coat of Cherish was enough. I’d love to try out another shade from the range, as some of the colours are totally unique and unlike anything I’ve ever seen. The polishes are also vegan and organic.
Repurchase? Yes, in another shade. They are a little pricy at $25 each but are great quality and the colours are really unique.
Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula FLIP BALM in Creamy Coconut. A friend recently surprised me with this cute flip top balm. It’s a new product from Palmer’s and comes in two other flavours. I thought it was a bit gimmicky at first but this is probably the best lip balm I’ve ever used, even replacing my beloved Lip EZE lip balm. Firstly, the formula is fantastic. It’s packed with Shea Butter, Vitamin E, Coconut Oil and of course Cocoa Butter so it’s incredibly moisturising and glides over the lips so smoothly. It’s housed in a dome shaped ball that has a flip lid, which is perfect for stashing in your handbag without worrying about leaking or losing the lid. I find I don’t have to apply lip balm as frequently as my lips stay moist for longer. I am also a huge fan of the coconut flavour.
Repurchase? Yes. It’s an affordable lip balm that delivers ultimate moisture.
Korres Santorini Vine Moisturising Body Milk. I picked up a trial size from Mecca, as Korres is a range
that is slowly growing on me. I reviewed it here, so I won’t go into too much
detail, however in summary, the Santorini Vine Moisturising Body Milk is a
hydrating and nourishing moisturiser that leaves a beautiful scent on the skin.
I would say it’s more suitable for the warmer months, when you’re after light
hydration. I found it did not provide intense hydration, so it’s not a
moisturiser I’d reach for when my skin is dry and itchy. I actually prefer it
as a hand cream, as it absorbs into the skin quickly, doesn’t leave any residue
and has a wonderful light scent.
Repurchase? Not at this stage. I
will use it up as hand cream.
The Natural Deodorant in
Lavender and Tea Tree. This
was picked up on my quest for natural based beauty products, which I’ve been
(slowly) switching too. You can read my full review here,
but basically it’s a great deodorant made from all natural ingredients, is
cruelty free and is very effective at masking sweat odour. These deodorants
come in a few other scents, so if lavender or tea tree aren’t your cup of tea
you’re guaranteed to find your perfect match. It’s a little pricy (around $11)
however I find that a little goes a long way.
Repurchase? Yes. I find that regular deodorants
don’t mask odour as well. I’d be interested to try out the other scents too.
