Blogger's United Kris Kringle 2016

I recently had the chance to participate in a beauty KK swap via Bloggers United AU. Bloggers United AU is an Australian not-for-profit organisation that aims to connect bloggers, vloggers and social media experts. They are best known for their awesome bloggers events, which I unfortunately have not been able to attend yet (fingers crossed for the next Melbourne one). When an invite popped into my inbox for the Kris Kringle Beauty Bloggers gift swap I immediately signed up.

The concept behind the Kris Kringle is simple: Bloggers United AU send all those who had signed up a quick survey to complete, as well as a comments section where we are able to summarise our likes, any dislikes/allergies and general preferences. We are then matched up to a fellow beauty blogger and that is when the real fun begins! The maximum spend price is $25 (I found this part the hardest) to spend on gifts and as you can imagine it was a bit tricky trying to find affordable, good quality gifts. I hit up places like Lush, Chemist Warehouse and Kmart and picked out a mix of lower to medium end cosmetics for my KK. Bear in mind we are virtually buying for a complete stranger so it was definitely challenging to pick out the perfect gifts.

My KK gift came in the mail a few days ago and it was such a treat opening up a gift on an ordinary work day! A blogger by the name of Deya had me as her KK and she selected the most thoughtful gifts, and even included little notes on all of the gifts. Thank you again Deya!

It’s always a nice surprise arriving home to find a package waiting

Everything was individually wrapped with cute notes included!
All of the gifts unwrapped

I love the red theme, it’s very Christmas!

I received a beautiful candle from Dusk (I love the cherry scent, and the glass jar), a Burt’s Bees lip balm, chocolate, a Garnier face wash, a cute necklace and a rose scented bath bomb.

I’ll wait until my KK receives her gifts before I post about it, as I don’t want to ruin the surprise!

Did you participate in this year’s Bloggers United AU Kris Kringle?

Thanks for reading!

xo Roxane.
