Ah Too Faced, why are you so cute? From chocolate scented bronzers to vibrant coloured melted lipsticks, Too Faced really know the way to a girls heart and it comes in the shape of sweetly shaped tins, rainbow shades and delicious scents reminiscent of our childhood.
Too Faced have done it again with the release of the Sweet Peach collection, comprising of an eyeshadow palette, peach oil lip glosses, a highlighting palette and a blush. After weeks of procrastinating, I decided to pick up the Peach Infused Blush. This is the only product I’ve bought from the range however I already have plans to buy a lipgloss (or two) and possibly the highlighting palette.
The Too Faced Peach infused Blush is described by Too Faced as “…skin loving essence of peach and a fresh juicy scent. It’s the perfect bronzy peach that adds a pop of warmth and a sexy glow to any complexion”.
Firstly, the blush comes housed in an adorable tin compact with a mirror on the inside and a magnet close. Once the compact is opened, a mirror is inside the lid and is quite large; it’s the perfect size to touch up your makeup.
The blush comes in a powder fornula that is very finely milled. It is silky to the touch and applies very smoothly to the skin. The pigmentation is great; one swipe of my brush picks up just the right amount of colour.
The colour appears as a beautiful light coral shade with a golden undertone in the compact. Once applied to the skin, it translates to a peach shade with a soft gold toned sheen. There’s absolutely no glitter in this blush; instead there is very, very finely shimmer throughout. The blush is buildable, meaning that the colour gets more intense with every layer applied. In the below photo I’ve applied two light layers, which is nice and subtle for the daytime. I build it up to about four layers at night for an intense colour.
The blush itself is scented with a light, fruity scent. It is very subtle and once applied to the skin it is barely detectable. I actually really like the smell and always take a sniff before applying it!
So what’s my verdict on the Papa Don’t Peach blush? Surprise, surprise, I love it. The hype is definitely worth it, and The Peach Infused Blush is one of, if not, the best blush I have ever used. I think what won my heart is the beautiful peachy/gold shade. It’s the type of colour that would suit so many skin colours; I suppose in that sense it could be considered a universal shade? I find that I don’t reach for anything else after applying the Peach Infused Blush to my face; it gives the skin just the right pop of colour.
Did you pick up anything from the Peach collection, or are you planning to?
