What’s pink, fluffy and covered in hearts? Valentine’s Day of course! With the most romantic day of the year right around the corner, I’ve put together a couple of fun nail looks to get you into the holiday of love. While one is more traditional, the other is a bit dark and moody, so there is something to suit everyone.
Hope you enjoy!
The Girly Mani. This is a really simple look that will suit practically everyone. I used the O.P.I shade in Pink-ing of You, which is a soft candy pink, and the glitter is is also by O.P.I (the name has rubbed off on the bottle but I think it was part of Mariah Carey’s collection a few years ago).
I applied two coats of Pink-ing of You, and after it had dried I applied a thick layer of the pink glitter to my ring finger.

The Fifty Shades. I was inspired by the masquerade scene in the new movie Fifty Shades Darker
for this one! I really love how it turned out, and it’s a great way to add drama to your nails. For the base, I used Bordeaux by Essie and for the glitter I used MAC pigment in Reflects Blackened Red.
I applied two coats of Bordeaux and while the second layer was still wet, I sprinkled Reflects Blackened Red all over each nail. I applied the pigment with a heavy hand so if you want a subtle look just apply less glitter. I kept the base colour and pigment similar in colour, so even if you miss a spot it won’t be noticeable.

I absolutely love how these looks turned out and I hope you enjoyed them too! Let me know in the comments below what you’ll be doing for Valentine’s Day!
