REVIEW: Adore Beauty makeup haul

If you
follow me on Instagram you might know that I recently placed an order with
Adore Beauty. This was the first time I had ordered from Adore Beauty and it ended up being a great experience; the products I chose were priced lower than in-store, delivery was super quick and Adore included samples and gift with my purchase.
I am so happy with my purchases and have been using them
everyday, so I feel ready to write a review.

Laura Mercier Silk Crème Moisturising Photo Edition Foundation. Laura Mercier is a brand that I’ve used and loved for many years.
Their original Silk Crème foundation was a favourite for years and I wore it
religiously until I ran out and started trying out other brands. This is one of their
newest foundations and is specifically designed for photography and special events. I wasn’t sure
at the time of ordering which shade I would be, so I ordered it in the shade ‘Beige
Ivory’, which is the shade that I originally wore. While it is slighter darker
than I remember, it was a close enough match to my skin tone (probably more so
when I’ve applied a self-tanner). The formula is incredible; as the name
suggests, it is a moisturising foundation and keeps the face hydrated for hours
without feeling sticky.
I love the finish of this foundation. It is between a medium to full coverage and covers all of my flaws so well (blemishes, redness etc). The wear time is fantastic too; I’ve worn this for a maximum of 9 hours and my skin still maintained coverage (with some minor wearing around my chin). Laura Mercier also make an oil free version, which is fantastic if you suffer from oily skin. I am so happy with this foundation and know it will become my new ‘go-to’ foundation.

Shanghai Suzy Miss Leah Baby Cocoa Whipped Matte Formula lipstick. This was an impulse buy as I was
trying to reach a certain limit in order to receive a gift with purchase. I am
so glad I ordered it as it has to be one of my favourite lipsticks shades ever. The formula is unlike anything I’ve ever tried; it has almost a mousse-like texture, and it’s so smooth and creamy when applying.
Like all Shanghai Suzy lipsticks, it has incredible pigment, and one swipe
shows up the exact colour of the lipstick. The formula is lightweight and feels
really comfortable on the lips. I normally steer away from matte formulas as I
find them too drying on my lips and most times make my lips look smaller than
they are. Although this is a matte formula, it is still quite creamy on the
lips and doesn’t tug or pull when applying. As for the shade Miss Leah Baby Cocoa, it is a true nude shade and has just the right amount of pink in it. I’ve been
reaching for it everyday and I know it will become my go-to lipstick. I’m obsessed!

Becca Glow on the Go Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal. I almost bought this set at Sephora a few months ago but didn’t, so when I saw it on Adore Beauty I added it to my basket. The set is comprised of a  Shimmering Skin Perfector Spotlights Opal; a liquid highlighter, and Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed Opal; a pressed powder compact. While I bought the set
purely for the pressed powder, I have actually ended up loving the liquid
highlighter much more and have been reaching for it everyday. It contains light reflecting particles to give the skin a beautiful glow, which is right up my alley. The powder is also highly pigmented and is a beautiful champagne shade. I like to apply the liquid highlighter to my face first; to my cheekbones and along my nose. I then follow it up with the pressed powder for extra glow, which also helps to set it into place. The shade Opal is a similar shade to theBalm’s Mary Lou Manizer, although it isn’t as pigmented.

Benefit They’re Real Mink Brown Tinted Lash Primer. This was a gift with purchase and let’s face
it; Benefit have the cutest products so it’s a nice addition to my collection. This is a tinted lash primer, and can either be worn on its own for a natural, feathery look or under mascara for thicker lashes. I really like the concept of this product and can’t wait to try it out.

I also received samples of the Dermalogica Body Hydrating Cream and the Aesop Parsley Seed Anti-Oxidant Facial Toner

Have you purchased anything from Adore Beauty?

Thanks for reading!
