The Natural Deodorant is a small, family-run business from the Mid North Coast of NSW. All of their products are handmade using natural ingredients, and come housed in reusable jars and pots. As you may know, I’ve been using their natural deodorants for over a year now and it has been my favourite deodorant to date (full review here). I like how it doesn’t leave white marks on my clothes or doesn’t irritate my armpits (especially after shaving). After posting my review, The Natural Deodorant reached out to me and asked if I’d like to try some other products from their range. Today I’ll be posting a review of each product I received and my thoughts!
Keep reading below for my review!
The Natural Body Butter in Rose. This was hands down my favourite product. First off, the smell is amazing- just like a rose garden in full bloom! The formula is buttery smooth, and feels so beautiful once applied to the skin. It’s also deeply nourishing and after application, my skin feels moisturised for hours. I can’t find anything bad to say about this body butter; it is perfection. It comes housed in a cute tin and can easily be reused to hold hair ties or jewellery once the product is used up.
The Natural Face Oil in Ylang Ylang. I was initially worried that this face oil would break my skin out but I needn’t have worried. Simply put, this oil is amazing. The best part is how easily it absorbs into the skin. It has a lightweight formula so it’s non greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. I’ve been applying this in the morning under my foundation and it adds a nice layer of hydration. It contains oils such as jojoba, hemp seed and calendula to help restore the PH balance of the skin and maintain the skin’s moisture levels. I’ve already gone through a quarter of this so I can see that it will become a favourite!
Next up is The Natural Foot Balm with Peppermint, Lime and Bergamot. This is a deeply nourishing cream that is fantastic for dry and rough feet. Feet are an area that I definitely neglect; I am forever moisturising my hands so when I received this foot balm it was a great opportunity to treat my feet! The scent, along with all of the other products, is heavenly and smells just like a Christmas candy cane- yum! After using it, my feet felt nourished and invigorated and I found that the hard skin had softened considerably- no more Milky Foot for me, hooray!
The Natural Deodorant in the Sensitive Formula, fragrance free. This is a new product from the company and is suitable for people who are intolerant to bicarbonate soda or baking soda. So far, the sensitive formula only comes fragrance free, however there are plans to introduce an Australian Bush Flower blend soon. All of their deodorants comes in two formulas- either a stick formula (which is what I received) or in a paste jar, complete with spatula. I like the convenience of a wind-up stick so that’s what I chose.
The fragrance free formula contains ingredients such as coconut oil, shea butter, vitamin E and tea tree and has quite an earthy smell. This deodorant works in the same was as my current deodorant stick, and does a great job of keeping me dry and odour free. Plus, it is really gentle on my skin and did not irritate my underarms in the way that so many other deodorants do after shaving- win!
These deodorants do harden in cold weather so you can either warm it by holding against your skin or run the tube under hot water. I also find that gently rubbing the product in with my fingers helps to melt it into the skin. Once it makes contact with the skin it melts easily, thanks to the oils and butters.
I’m a huge fan of The Natural Deodorant sticks and will continue to use them as nothing else quite measures up. If you’re looking for a totally natural deodorant, I highly recommend trying The Natural Deodorant out- I’ve even gotten a couple of friends onto it!
The Natural Body Oil with Magnolia and Frangipani. This is a lovely, beautifully scented body oil containing magnolia oil, sweet almond oil, jojoba, vitamin E, hemp seed and frangipani oil. The oil is rich and very nourishing and I found the scent to be very relaxing. This is perfect as an all over body moisturiser or as a massage oil.
As you can probably tell, I’m completely in love with all of these products! I really do love products that contain lots of natural oils and ingredients as I find they are the most effective for nourishing the skin (not to mention smell amazing!). If I were to narrow it down, I’d recommend trying the Natural Body Butter or one of the Natural Deodorants- these two are my absolute favourites and I cannot get enough of them.
A massive thank you to The Natural Deodorant for kindly gifting me with these wonderful products!
