myself on a bit of a spending ban, only because I am off to America in a few
months and plan to do a bit of damage in Sephora. For that reason, this
post will be on the short side and most products are items that I either bought
a while ago and just started to use them or were included in a gift box.
St Tropez Classic Bronzing Mousse. The best self-tanner, hands down. I’ve used St Tropez on and
off for years and always come back to it. While I do prefer the Dark Bronzing Mousse version,
the Classic formula is great for a ‘natural’ looking tan, and is better value for money as it’s in a bigger tube and cheaper than the dark bronzing mousse. I apply it with a mitt and it gives a flawless coverage.
Lately I’ve been tanning every week as it’s winter here in Australia and I hate
looking ghostly white. This gives a really natural, even tan and never looks
Goldwell Just Smooth 6 Effects Serum. I received this in my latest Bellabox and have been using it
religiously. Melbourne’s harsh winter has caused my hair to become frizzy and
dry, and using this serum has made my hair more manageable, smooth and tidy.
NYX Intense Butter Gloss in Blueberry Tart. Winter is the perfect time to pull out all of those vampy, dark shades that are too intense for the warmer months. I’ve been using this gloss by NYX for some added drama at night and it gives a ‘goth’ look without looking like something out of The Craft (one of my favourite movies growing up by the way). As Blueberry Tart is a dark shade, I’ve been sheering it out on my lips and adding a shiny gloss on top to give is a softer look.
L’Oreal Nail Laquer in 222 Jardin Des Roses. I bought this for a friend and decided I needed one for myself. It is the prettiest colour ever: it’s a cross between a pink and a coral and is housed in an elegant bottle, complete with gold accents. The polish is long wearing and I found one coat was enough for complete coverage (although I did apply two coats for extra protection).
That’s all of the products I used in June, let me know in the comments below if you’ve used any of these!
