I started using Ere
Perez a few years ago after a recommendation from a vegan friend. It was
during a time when I was still suffering from constant breakouts and all of my
regular makeup seemed to be aggravating my skin and making it worse. It quickly
became one of my absolute favourite makeup brands that I still use to this day (you can read my previous product reviews here, here and here).
Today I will be reviewing their new Arnica Concealer and Lip & Conceal Brush and sharing my thoughts
The Arnica Concealer* is a creamy, blendable concealer that conceals dark circles, blemishes, pigmentation and uneven skin tone. It is a full coverage concealer and aims to calm and treat inflamed areas. As the name suggests, this concealer contains natural arnica, which is naturally antiseptic and anti-inflammatory in nature. It is an ingredient that is used to treat acne, so not only does the concealer cover, it also heals.
My review: I have used Ere Perez’s concealer previously and really liked it, so when I was sent the newly reformulated Arnica concealer I was excited to try it out. The part I like most about this concealer is the fact that it is made up of natural ingredients. Products containing natural ingredients tend to be more gentle on skin and are less likely to cause breakouts. And when you think about it, concealer is the one product that shouldn’t aggravate the skin, as it is applied directly onto a breakout. I recently had a few large breakouts along my jawline (thanks hormones!) and decided to test out the Ere Perez Arnica concealer. First off, the texture is nice and light; it’s not a super thick formula so it appears very natural on the skin. I applied it lightly with my finger, building it up to the coverage that I required. It did a really great job of concealing my angry, red breakouts and evening out my skin tone. The formula is quite creamy once it is warmed onto the skin, and I found that is spread easily (there is nothing I dislike more than concealer that tugs or pulls at the skin). I’d describe the coverage as medium to full, as it can be built up to a thicker coverage if necessary. The finish is very natural and mimics the natural skin finish. For a concealer whose ingredients are mostly naturally derived, it offers a flawless, natural converge. I also love the fact that it heals as it conceals. I received the shade ‘Honey’, which is recommended for light skin tones. While it was a pretty good match, I did find it a bit too light on my colouring.

The Eco Vegan Lip & Conceal Brush* is a duo ended brush that can be used in a number of ways. The larger, flat brush can be used to apply concealer or highlight parts of the face. The smaller brush can be used to conceal specific areas of the face or as a lip brush. Its versatile nature makes it a great brush for travel and the slim design ensures it won’t take too much space up in your carry on. The bristles are vegan and the handle is made from corn resin, making it suitable for environmentally conscious beauty lovers.
My review: I have never really used a concealer brush so I was excited to try this out. Firstly, the bristles are incredibly soft against the skin yet still quite firm at the same time. It did a great job of distributing the Arnica concealer to my face evenly. I applied the Arnica concealer to problem areas with the smaller end of the brush, and then blended it out using the larger, flat end. And oh my gosh, it did such a great job of concealing my blemishes! My face actually looked flawless, and this was before I had applied any foundation. A concealer brush is definitely a tool to invest in if you are after a professional finish, and the Ere Perez Lip and Conceal brush is a great one to consider.
Have you tried the Ere Perez Arnica Concealer or their Eco Vegan Lip & Conceal brush? What did you think?
