Blogmas Day #3 – Search for the elusive yarn

Welcome to
Blogmas Day 3! Sunday was a freezing cold day here in Melbourne, despite it
being officially summer. Matthew and I rugged up and drove to Kyneton to pick
up some yarn for a blanket I’m making.

After stopping for a cup of coffee at
Monsieir Peirre (the sweetest little French bakery), we walked over to the craft
store…only to find it was closed for the day due to insufficient staff. I was annoyed but decided to make the most of it and have breakfast in Kyneton. Afterwards,
we drove to the nearest Spotlight to continue the hunt for the
elusive yarn. After searching the shelves and asking the staff, I was told the
yarn was in limited supply across the country and they did not have any in store.
Needless to say, I did not buy that particular yarn however I did pick some
black yarn up for a crochet bag I am making, so the trip wasn’t a complete waste of time.

I also wandered
into Dotti not expecting to find anything and picked up the cutest floral print wrap top. It’s
the perfect summery top to wear with a skirt or denim shorts. Dotti isn’t a store I normally shop at and I was really surprised at their cute range of clothes.

That’s it from me for Blogmas Day 3! Until next time..

xo Roxane.
