Blogmas Day #6 & 7 – Six Small Ways to Get Into the Christmas Spirit

Hello and welcome back to Blogmas Day 6 & 7! I am slowly getting into the Christmas spirit and besides decorating my house, I plan to bake some gingerbread cookies this weekend and put together a wreath for my front door. Blogmas has really helped me to get into the swing of things which is great (especially because I am not really an excitable person at the best of times!).

So today I’ll be sharing small ways to help you get into the Christmas spirit! These don’t really take much effort and are simple and easy to do.

Get into Christmas baking. Gingerbread men, shortbread biscuits and rum balls are all fun to make. I also make kourabiethes, which are a Greek shortbread made for celebrations (white moon shaped shortbread covered in icing sugar).

Take a bath with some Christmas Lush bath bombs. Have you even celebrated Christmas if you haven’t bought a Lush bath bomb? Pour yourself a glass of wine to adult it up while you soak away…

Read/watch up on some Christmas blogs/vlogs. If you saw my previous post, I shared some favourite YouTubers and Bloggers participating in Vlogmas/Blogmas this year. I adore Dizzy Brunette’s beautiful blog (it makes me want to curl up on the couch with a fluffy throw and sip hot chocolate), Carrie Murray to see New York during Christmas (truly amazing!) and Tanya Burra for an English festive season.

Watch a Christmas movie. I talked about my favourite Christmas movies on this post, and I really find it helps me to feel festive and Christmassy! I recently watched Jingle All The Way with Matthew and it really put us both in a great mood.

Give yourself a Christmas manicure. If you rarely wear red nail polish, now is the time to pull it out! Add some sparkles for a festive touch.

Channel your inner child and buy a chocolate advent calendar. I don’t think anyone is ever too old for Christmas chocolate.

How do you get into the Christmas spirit?
