Blogmas Days #12 – #17 : Week Catch Up

This past week has been super busy with work, social commitments and life, so you may have noticed that I’ve neglected my Blogmas daily posts. Instead of desperately trying to catch up with daily posts, I thought I’d combine this past week into one post. Here’s what I’ve been up to, what I’ve eaten and where I’ve been!

On Friday afternoon I took my team out to the South Melbourne market for a dessert date. It was a beautiful day so we decided to walk to the market. Would you believe I’ve been at my current workplace for almost ten years and this was the first time I’d gone to the market on foot? Terrible I know! After filling our bellies with burek (a delicious pastry filled with cheese and spinach) we zipped over to Bibelot for an afternoon of tea and chocolate treats. I’ll let the photos do the talking!

Delicious I tell you! My favourites were the mango mousse (centre in yellow) and the chocolate sweet with the cream of top (top row, middle).

On Saturday Matthew and I headed to Barwon Heads with a friend for lunch and an afternoon at the beach. Barwon Heads is a beach town located past Geelong and is filled with folksy cafes, lovely homewares stores and beautiful beaches. This was the first time I’d visited  and I’ll definitely be back at Barwon Heads for some further exploring!

We ate lunch At The Heads, a beautiful Hamptons-style restaurant on the beach. The view was simply breathtaking and the food was so delicious! I highly recommend trying this restaurant if you ever find yourself in Barwon Heads.

I had the vegan spaghetti (which was incredible and very satisfying!), Matthew had the ribs (messy but so tasty) and our friend had the fish and salad, which he found delicious!

After lunch we sunbaked and relaxed by the water. I got to wear my new bikini of the season, a fun leopard print number that I bought from Kulani Kinis; they have the most amazing and unique swimwear I’ve ever come across. I found them by accident online and after receiving my order last week, I can confirm that the quality is incredible. Be sure to check them out if you are after new swimwear!

That sums up the fun parts of the past week! With Christmas a week away, I’ve got some festive related posts to come so be sure to check back!

What have you been up to this past week? Did you do anything fun?
