Happy New Year! 2018 is a brand new start for all of us, and I am very much a believer in starting over each day a better person! I feel 2018 will be a year of adventures, changes and who knows what else, and I especially like it because I love positive numbers.
I haven’t done a catch up in a while so thought I’d share with you what I’ve been up to, where I’ve been and generally share my spin on the world.
Matthew and I hosted a NYE bash at our house and it was a success! Everyone had a great time, with plenty of food, drinks and laughter throughout the night. We have a bar cart at home that is our pride and joy and we made sure it was fully stocked for the night. I also taught myself how to make a few cocktails, and the first one up were Pina Coladas. They went down a treat with my girlfriends.
I leave in less than three weeks for America but the excitement hasn’t settled in yet. I’m not really sure why…it could be because it’s been so busy all year, especially in the lead up to Christmas and New Years so I haven’t really had time to absorb it yet. Nonetheless, I am sure the excitement will settle in once I’m at the airport. I have packed about half so far and have come to the realisation that I don’t actually own that many winter clothes. I’m not too fussed though as everything will be covered in a coat anyway whilst travelling.
I attended a family wedding right before New Years and ended up having a really nice time. I saw family that I hadn’t seen in ages; as we get older it’s hard to find the time to see everyone isn’t it? I suppose we are all wrapped up in our own lives.
Did you do any Boxing Day shopping? I made one purchase (see above) from Kulani Kinis, my new favourite online bikini store. The swimsuit I had been eyeing off for a few weeks was already on sale, and with the Boxing Day discount of 20% off I ended up paying just over $50 for the suit which is amazing. As I’ve gotten older my taste in swimwear has definitely changed. I now favour well fitting, good quality swimsuits with a sleek finish. Being small chested is hard when it comes to swimsuit shopping as I don’t want to look completely flat so I look for styles that gives a bit of a boost.
That sums up what’s been happening in my life lately! What have you been up to? Do you have any fun trips/events/night outs planned?
Until next time!
