Ere Perez have recently had an overhaul and repackaged and reformulated some of
their makeup products. They’ve also just released their first skincare product, the Australian Blue Cypress Face Nectar* which I’m excited to review for you today!
In case you’re not familiar with this brand, Ere Perez are an Australian based,
Mexican made company who create clean, natural beauty and skincare products
with minimal ingredients. All products are cruelty free and vegan, and aim to enhance and embrace natural beauty.
The Australian Blue Cypress Face Nectar is the first product of Ere Perez’s new skincare range. Infused with oils such as Australian blue cypress, camellia, jasmine
flower, jojoba, cedar wood and rice, it helps to revitalise the skin and maintain a youthful glow. It also contains anti flammatory properties (perfect for problem skin), and natural antioxidants to maintain a youthful glow, smooth lines and reduce the signs of sun damage. It is a unisex oil and can be used daily to maintain a youthful and lifted complexion.
My review: I’ve been using this face oil for the past month as I wanted to test it out properly before reviewing. There’s been a lot of talk in the beauty community lately about natural products that can actually make skin worse. I’ve never had this experience before personally but would hate for this to happen to anyone. I suppose that’s part of why I wanted to test this oil out thoroughly before sharing my thoughts.
First off, this is a really lovely face oil. As you’ve probably gathered from above, it contains several different types of oils so it’s quite a heavy oil and does take some time to absorb into the skin. Ere Perez recommends it be used as part of a nightly skincare routine or added to foundation for a dewy look. I’ve decided on the former and apply it to a clean face each night, followed up with my Organic Spa Day Moisture. As my skin is on the dehydrated side I often need extra hydration and I am finding that this oil helps to eliminate that ‘tight’, dry feeling as well as keeping
my skin nicely moisturised. I also find my skin looks smoother in the mornings
after the oil has absorbed and my fine lines aren’t as obvious. As mentioned, the oil is quite rich and concentrated, so not a whole lot is needed. I find two to three drops is sufficient for the face and neck. I did not experience any irritation whatsoever, nor did I breakout when using this face oil. All in all I am really enjoying this product and will continue to use it every night. It is a product that I would recommend to anyone who is needing extra hydration, especially for those who suffer from dry, dehydrated skin.
Have you tried the ustralian Blue Cypress Face Nectar from Ere Perez? What did you think?
