Ere Perez is a brand that pride themselves on clean, natural makeup that
enhances rather than conceal natural beauty. The brand has recently had a
makeover and have completely reformulated and repackaged their products, one
being their Oat Milk Foundation*. I was lucky enough to be sent one for
review, so today I will be sharing my thoughts with you!
The Oat Milk foundation is a medium to full coverage longwear
foundation suitable for all skin types. It offers a non-greasy,
natural finish with a breathable formula. With ingredients such as oat milk,
peach and Vitamin E, it promotes a healthy, hydrated complexion. As with other
products in the Ere Perez line, the Oat Milk foundation is cruelty free and
vegan, yay! This foundation comes in six shades:
Latte for light porcelain skin
Honey for light skin
Chai for light to medium skin tones
Caramel for golden warm skin
Brew for medium to deeper skin tones
Mocha for deeper skin tones
I was sent the shade ‘Chai’, a perfect shade for my light yellow toned skin.
Formula and Application
The formula of the Oat Milk Foundation is thick and creamy and is best applied with either fingers or a brush. The foundation sets quickly so you’ll need to work fast to blend it into the skin. I applied this foundation using the Multipurpose brush* that is to be used in conjunction with the Oat Milk foundation. The brush features a flat top which is perfect for stippling foundation on. Although the brush is not as dense as what I’m used to, it did an amazing job of distributing the foundation evenly to the skin. The coverage is quite good; I’d say it is a decent medium coverage that
can be built up if necessary. As for the finish, I would describe it between a dewy and satin finish.
I find the Oat Milk foundation generally wears well throughout the day, and typically lasts almost a full work day. A powder applied on top works ensure a longer wear.
Packaging is just as important as what is on the inside in my opinion,
especially when you have to look at it every day! I absolutely love Ere Perez’s
clean, minimal packaging. The Oat Milk comes in a squeezey tube which is super
satisfying to apply and ensures wastage is kept to a minimum. I much prefer it to the previous Oat Milk packaging which was a plastic pump bottle.
I have really enjoyed this foundation. As someone who suffers with acne prone skin, it is important that a foundation conceals my skin imperfections without masking my skin. I found the finish of the Oat Milk foundation very natural and it did not have a ‘mask like’ feel. I also did not experience any breakouts or skin irritations whilst wearing this foundation which is always a make or break for me. I would recommend the Oat Milk Foundation is you’re in the market for a natural looking foundation with a medium coverage.
