Hello and welcome to
my March favourites! If you’re new to this series, it’s basically a roundup of
all of favourite beauty products, books, movies and generally anything that I
liked during the month. I didn’t really try too many new beauty items this month
because I had a huge clean out of my bathroom cabinet. I got rid of so many
things that I had been holding onto for unknown reasons and it felt amazing! I
threw out so many products that were out of date, gave away some to friends and
as for the rest, I’ve made a vow to myself to use up every single item in my
cupboard. What made a big difference was having all of my products on show so I
could actually see them; this way I am likely to use them. I’ve also made a
conscious effort to use up all of my current body moisturisers before I buy any
news ones. Needless to say, I am using a lot more products these days.
Anyway, here’s what
made my March favourites.
I came across the Soin Du Visage Byphasse
Makeup Remover Wipes at Chemist Warehouse and couldn’t pass them up; they cost around
$6 for 40 wipes which is a great deal. I have been using them to wipe leftover
grime and makeup from my face after cleansing and so far I am loving them. The
wipes are nice and gentle on my skin and they have a good amount of moisture;
there is nothing worse than dry wipes! If you’re after a daily makeup wipe I
recommend giving these a go.
If you saw my February favourites you may know that I bought
the SJP Pure Crush perfume. I have added the SJP NYC to my collection and it’s a nice,
fruity smelling scent. Although I am not a huge perfume fan, I have really
enjoyed these scents and have been using them every day for work.
MineTan is a range of self-tanners that I discovered back in
December last year and have been using religiously ever since. I bought three
out of the range; Caramel, Violet and Dark Ash and each gives a different colour to
the skin. My favourite is Dark Ash hands down, which is designed to give the skin a
cool, super dark nutty brown, inspired by the Brazilian sun. I am obsessed with this range
and have not reached for anything else since I started using. I use the MineTan Bronze On Applicator Mitt to apply these tanners and it applies the product perfectly with no streaks. If you are on the lookout for a new self tanner to try I highly recommend trying this range!
I am halfway through reading I Heart Las Vegas, which you may recall
is part of a series written by Lindsey Kelk. It is a light, airy read and perfect for a lazy Sunday afternoon. It follows Angela Clark as she jets off to Las Vegas with her best friend for a weekend and of course there are plenty of shenanigans to follow! This is the fourth novel in the series and I purchased the following two books to continue on with.
If you follow me on Instagram you may know that I attended Meccaland this Saturday night. I went with my friend Dani and we had the most amazing time getting makeovers, trialling exciting new products and snacking on lots of yummy treats. I am planning on writing up a blog post on my whole experience, with plenty of photos and of course a haul of what I got! I have to admit that I was restrained and didn’t purchase too much, however there were plenty of free samples and goody bags to satisfy me! Mecca did an amazing job and pulled the event off flawlessly, so thank you to Mecca for a great time!

That rounds up my March favourites! Thanks for reading and let me know if you have any questions or thoughts!
