Hi beauties! I recently asked some of my readers what they prefer to read on
this blog. I tend to write about what I feel like and I suppose in a sense this
blog isn’t too structured; I am not paid to blog however I actually prefer it
that way as I have total control over what I write. However it is also
important for me to write about things that interest you, so I’ve been posting
surveys on Instagram to get an idea of what my readers prefer to read. The
majority voted for beauty reviews over life updates, and makeup and skincare
were a tie, so thanks to those who voted and I will definitely keep it in mind! Although I don’t think I can give up life updates as I find them fun to write.
The past few weeks have been pretty busy and full with work, socialising and
the usual day to day grind. I have almost reached my ten years’ service at my
current workplace and I can’t believe how quickly time has flown. I pretty much
started at my current company straight out of uni (there was a 4 month stint
before that at a well-known bank but it was such a terrible job I’ve blocked it
out) and the majority of the time I have loved it. It’s funny how you can wind
up in certain positions that you never really thought you would; my current job
was never something I thought I’d end up in but I suppose life is like that. For those who don’t know, I am a Senior Reporting Analyst which basically means I analyse data and run reports all day long! It sounds boring I’m sure, however I really enjoy it as it’s a quiet job and suits my personality. I manage a team of two other girls however I don’t consider myself a ‘manager’ and it’s very much equal among us all.
I am off to Europe next month for three weeks. The places we will be visiting
are London, Paris and Greece and I am starting to get excited. The plan is to
sightsee in London, eat in Paris and sunbake in Greece. Of course, I am sure we
will get up to much more. I’ve only spent one full day in Paris so it will be
nice to see more of the city. Now I need to move onto the all important task of
packing for the trip. Summer is easier to pack for and I plan to take mostly
dresses, shorts and tshirts. I might put up a post on what I’ll be taking, so
let me know if this is something you’d be interested in.
What else? I had a friend’s birthday drinks over the weekend and I wore a
new dress from Hello Molly, which is quickly becoming my favourite online
store. It fit me perfectly (hooray) and I styled it with rose gold jewellery
and my nude heels (I’ll try to put a photo up soon). The birthday was held at the Emerson, a bar off Chapel
Street and it was a really fun venue although I did have a few too many drinks (whoops). I am usually pretty uptight so letting loose is something that I need to do from time to time.
My skin has been in pretty good shape lately (fingers crossed it stays that way!). I am using less makeup and spending more time on my skincare routine and I think it really shows, well at least it does to me! I am using both Organic Spa and LaMav Skincare and they both are working so well together; my skin is clearer than it’s ever been.
My April Nourished Box came a few days ago and I was so excited to see what was included! I will be posting my review shortly so be sure to check that out.
I think that about covers everything in my life at the moment.
Thanks so much for reading!
