If you’re a long time reader of this blog, you may know that Ere Perez has to be one of my favourite brands of all time. Naturally derived, vegan and with the prettiest shade range, it is definitely a brand you need to check out if you love natural beauty! Today I will be sharing with you two new product releases from their range; the Quinoa Water Foundation and the Cacao Lip Colour!
The Quinoa Water Foundation* is a lightweight based vegan foundation that gives a natural finish. Quinoa helps to calm the skin and heal inflammation and increase elasticity (perfect for someone like me in their 30s). Ingredients like blackcurrent help to reduce redness, pigmentation and fine lines. It has a light, blendable formula and sets to a natural matte finish. The coverage is light to medium, making it perfect for a natural, glowing complexion. It comes in three shades and I received Dawn, suitable for light to medium skin tones.
My thoughts: I haven’t used a water based foundation is a long time so I really did not know what to expect from this foundation. First off, I love the minimal packaging and the way it looks so ‘clean’. The foundation comes in a glass bottle with a rubber stopper to control how much foundation comes out. My first thought was holy moly this foundation is sheer when applied to the skin! It has a very light texture and blends beautifully. The finish is very natural and sinks into the skin, leaving the impression of ‘my skin but better’ which I love. I really like this foundation and love how light it feels on the skin. It’s not a foundation I’d reach for when I have heavy breakouts however, as it’s quite sheer and light in coverage.
The Cacao Lip Colour* contains cacao butter to soften and hydrate and castor oil to moisturise and prevent ageing. It has a sheer finish and is long lasting. It comes in six shades and I chose Hoopla, a warm nude shade.
My thoughts: I love all of Ere Perez’s lip products so it’s not surprise that I love this range too! The texture is creamy and glides onto my lips nicely. I also love sheer lip colours as they make my lips look bigger and this range does that very well. I received the shade Hoopla, which is described as a warm nude and that’s exactly spot on; it has quite a warm undertone and looks like my natural lip colour but a bit darker. I would be keen to try the other shades in the range as I like the formula so much.
