somewhat interested in skincare there’s a good chance that you’ve heard of
Rodan+Fields. Voted as America’s number 1 skincare range, Rodan+Fields was created
by two Stanford educated doctors wanting to give dermatology-inspired skincare
to everyone without the need to visit a doctor’s room. Their philosophy is
Right Ingredients + Right Formulations + Right Order and their extensive
product range reflects this.
I was lucky
enough to sample the REDEFINE Regimen for the Appearance of Lines, Pores and Loss of Firmness*. Redefine
is a detailed skincare regime that combines cosmetic ingredients and potent
peptide technology to visibly reduce the signs of ageing for noticeably firmer,
smoother flawless-looking skin. The REDEFINE Regimen features four full-size
Redefine range is clinically shown to firm skin, noticeably soften lines and
wrinkles and create the appearance of smaller pores. The Redefine regime should be used twice a day
every day for optimal results. It is also recommended that all four products
are used in conjunction with one another to gain the most effective results.
Now that I am in my early thirties I am seeing my ‘laugh’ lines deepen more and more. I also have a lot of very fine lines around my eye area, as well as in my forehead (ah the joys of ageing). I use sunscreen every single day which has kept my skin in relatively good condition, however I am always interested in using skincare products that promote younger looking skin. When I was given the opportunity to try out the Redefine range I jumped at the chance. I used the moisturisers and the toner on a daily basis however I did not use the cleanser as often. This is simply because it contains fine exfoliant beads and seeing I tan my face most nights I wanted to avoid scrubbing the tan off. I also used other skincare products in conjunction with this range, such as the Weleda Skin Food which I apply nightly as a mask, and the occasional face oil every few nights (the Ere Perez Australian Blue Cypress Face Nectar is what I’m currently using). Starting a completely new skincare regime always makes me nervous as my skin is prone to breakouts so I always introduce new products in slowly and always alongside my regular products. This is just what works for me and my skin, and I don’t want to risk irritating my skin. I don’t believe this hindered my results, which I will discuss further below!
The REDEFINE Daily Cleansing Mask is a cleanser and mask in one. It contains Kaolin which helps to draw impurities from the skin and the soft exfoliating granules helps to smooth the skin. I used this mask only a couple of times a week for one reason only; I tan my face most nights and the exfoliating granules would’ve scrubbed it away. When I did use it, I was blown away with how clean it left my skin. You know when you have a deep and invigorating face steam and your skin feels amazingly fresh afterwards? That’s how I would describe this mask.
The REDEFINE Triple Defense Treatment SPF 15 contains sunscreen so it’s an ideal cream to apply each morning before leaving the house. It is a lightweight cream yet feels incredibly nourishing on the skin, and as a bonus it sinks in quickly. I then apply my usual foundation on top. I find that this moisturiser acts as a sort of primer and helps to adhere my foundation in place. This moisturiser leaves my skin feeling well hydrated and supple; it has a luxurious feel to it that I really appreciate!
The REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream is an ultra moisturising cream that works to deeply hydrate and firm the skin whilst you sleep. I am a huge fan of this cream and would say it’s the best night cream I’ve used to date. I love how moisturising it is on my skin; seeing as my skin is on the drier side I really appreciate anything that adds hydration. After using it over the past few weeks my skin has felt less dry, and I always wake up with glowing skin. This is probably my favourite product from the range and I would repurchase this in a heartbeat.
The REDEFINE Pore Minimising Toner contains lots of clarifying ingredients to help minimise pores quickly and efficiently. Hydroxy acids help to exfoliate dead skin cells while oligosaccharides (which is a carbohydrate with 3 to 10 sugars and found naturally in plants and most commonly used for anti ageing purposes) help to reduce the appearance of pores. It is to be used in preparation for both the Redefine Triple Defence Treatment and Redefine Overnight Restorative Cream. Similar to the Daily Cleansing Mask, I used this around twice a week and found that my skin felt more toned and fresh after use. I rarely use toner however I can see the difference it makes to the skin when I do use it; it tightens the skin up and makes it feel fresh and clean. It’s a habit that I need to get into as the results are well worth it.
After using the range over the last few weeks I have experienced noticeably smoother skin. The surface of my skin looks a lot finer and my skin also feels smooth to the touch. Most of my fine lines appear around my eyes and on top of the cheekbones; I am a smiley person in general so these areas always crease up. I believe the Redefine range has helped to ‘smooth’ and ‘soften’ these areas so the fine lines aren’t as obvious. The standout products for me are definitely the REDEFINE Triple Defense Treatment SPF 15 and the REDEFINE Overnight Restorative Cream; these moisturisers are simply amazing and well worth the investment.
I forgot to take a ‘before’ photo however I have included an ‘after’ photo. Below is my skin after using the REDEFINE regime for over 6 weeks. I am really happy with the results!

Overall I am super impressed with the results of the REDEFINE range by Rodan+Fields. It is a great brand to try if you are after quality skincare at an affordable price. I believe the results speak for themselves and I know my skin feels amazing whilst using the Rodan+Fields range.
