September + October Favourites

Hi everyone! How’s everyone’s week been? It feels like ages since I’ve sat down and typed out a blog post and all I can say is that life sort of got in the way. I also developed a horrid virus on Monday which saw me miss two days of work. Now, I like having lazy days as much as anyone else but two full days at home was not fun! On the other hand, it was the perfect chance to start watching a new tv series…keep reading for more details!

I never got to post my September favourites due to personal reasons so here I’ve combined it with October.

I was sent some products from Rodan+Fields to sample and after using them over the last few weeks I am officially a fan! I am loving the Redefine Overnight Restorative Cream* and Redefine Triple Defence Treatment SPF15*, which are essentially a night and day cream. I am not kidding when I say that these moisturisers leave my skin incredibly smooth, so much that I’ve noticed a difference to my skin. I plan to post up a separate review of the Redefine range shortly so be sure to keep an eye out as I’ll go into more depth.

You may know of my love for the EcoTan Face Tan Water which has seriously changed my life (well not exactly changed it per se, but has definitely made an impact!). I usually apply it twice a week but last week I decided to try applying it each night and it made such a difference. My skin looked so tan and flawless that I did not need to wear foundation, and for someone like me most definitely needs the coverage that is saying something. I truly believe that this product is a game changer and reduces the need for foundation which is great in so many ways, such as preventing breakouts, saving on money etc. If you like to look tan all year around or you suffer from breakouts I highly suggest trying this products out, you will not be disappointed!

I switched to natural based organics a few years ago and love trying new ones out. I discovered the Myaura Organics ranges at Coles a while ago and have been using it exclusively since. I’m currently using the Myaura Organics All Natural Deodorant in Bergamont, Lime and Coconut and I am really enjoying it! It provides great coverage whilst masking odour and I love the tropical scent. These are around $11 each at Coles however I usually wait until they’re on sale to stock up.

I’ve been looking for a basic yet cute jumper for the longest time but hadn’t found anything I’d liked until I came across the Sassy jumper by Sass (pictured above). I bought it from the Myer Basement in Bourke Street and it was marked down by from $70 to $20. It’s the perfect jumper for the spring to summer transition and I also love the colour! I’ve linked it here as they are still on sale!

I woke up on Monday with an intense desire to watch The OC. I am not sure what triggered this as the show was filmed 15 years ago but I just had to see it! I downloaded Stan and binge watched most of the first season. It is SO good, better than I remembered (I used to watch it it with my Yiayia, I think she was a bigger fan than I was). My favourite part of the show is definitely the fashion; the style at the start of the 2000’s was flawless. Mischa Barton’s wardrobe is perfection and I basically want everything she wore on the show. Although looking back on my late teens/early twenties, I too did experiment with spangly tops, dresses over jeans and low slung denim (minus the Chanel and LV bags of course. And the designer flats. Oh and the perfectly waved beach hair. Maybe not so similar after all…) Oh and the Cohens…how can you not love them? Sandy and Kirsten are so adorable and Seth is basically the boyfriend I never had during high school; his dry wit and ability to poke fun at himself is everything. Can you tell I’m slightly obsessed?

I think that rounds up all of my favourites! Thanks for reading and hopefully you’ll visit this little space again.
