Gold Coast Travel Diary

Hello friends! I thought I’d share my travels from my recent trip to the Gold Coast with you. I normally love to read about others people’s trips and what they get up to so I hope you enjoy!

So we stopped in at the Gold Coast for one night on our way to Byron Bay. Seeing it had been 10 years since our last GC trip we decided it was long overdue.

One of my reasons for staying at the Gold Coast was to visit one of my favourite online stores, Sabo Skirt. Their mortar and pestle store is located at Pacific Fair so it was a good excuse to do a spot of shopping before Byron.

I ended up purchasing a t-shirt which is super cute and versatile.

By the way, Pacific Fair is a must see! It’s definitely not your typical mall; there is an outdoor shopping precinct in addition to the inside mall and their cafes are simply amazing. It’s worth checking out!

We also stopped at Betty’s Burgers for a quick bite. I love the Palm Springs feel to it and their cute decor.

The Vibe Hotel was our choice of accomodation and was located right next to Cavill Avenue, making it a convenient location. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a suite and had a great view of the water and street below. We also had a large balcony which gave us great views of all the action below on the streets.

On our one and only night we decided to go to the Hard Rock Cafe only because we’d gone there on our last trip ten years ago (keeping with tradition and all that). Although the menu has changed their food was still pretty decent.

We also stopped at The White Rhino for a quick drink.

That concluded our Gold Coast trip. Although it was short and sweet we made the most of it and we definitely have plans to go back (next time for longer).

Have you been to the Golf Coast? Did you love/loathe it?
