I love my palettes but sometimes I wish I didn’t own so many.
It will take me several lifetimes to get through them all, and I tend to lose interest after the initial excitement wears off. So needless to say, I have many unused palettes collecting dust in my bathroom draw.
Recently I picked up the Anastasia BH Norvina palette after seeing MakeupbyCortney purchase it. Sephora were having amazing sales and I picked it up for only $47. I knew the shades were gorgeous but I had no idea how much I would end up loving this palette.
If I could turn back time and only buy one palette it would be the Anastasia BH Norvina palette.
Honestly, this palette is amazing. Every single shade is stunning and can be used in various ways for different looks.
The palette is housed in a gorgeous purple velvet case with a magnetic closure. Inside you’ll find fourteen shades; six are matte/satin and six are shimmer. There is a large mirror and a double sided brush (love that a brush is included!). The shades are mostly warm based with a lean towards rose gold tones.
First up, the shimmer shades!
From bottom to top:
Dreamer: soft peach gold with fine shimmer
Summer: copper based gold in a metallic finish
Wild Child: warm medium pink in a metallic finish
Rose Gold: medium plum with gold flecks and a metallic finish
Celestial: medium purple in a metallic finish
Dazzling: medium bronze with pink undertones in a metallic finish
Drama: deep plum/purple in a metallic finish
All of the shimmery shades are incredibly pigmented and sooo buttery soft! They feel very creamy for a powder form and applied effortlessly to the lids. I did find some of the metallic finish shades had some shimmer fallout however this was quite minimal. I found the wear of these shades very good; the colour stayed put for several hours and did not budge.
The matte/satin shades!
From bottom to top:
Base: light beige in a satin finish.
Soul: Medium/dark purple shade with a slight shimmer.
Incense: Warm terracotta brown in a matte finish.
Love: Mauve based pink in a satin finish.
Volatile: Deep chocolate brown in a matte finish.
Eccentric: Warm brown with mustard undertones in a matte finish.
Passion: Warm deep plum in a matte finish.
Like the shimmery shades, the matte/satin shades are also very pigmented, in particular the darker shades like Volatile and Passion. I found they applied smoothly without any tugging to the skin and lasted a decent amount of time (7 hours +).
All of the shades are magnificent.
Highly pigmented and creamy to the touch, you only need to dip your brush in very lightly to coat it. The shades are designed to be used in conjunction with each other, so the mattes pair perfectly with the shimmers.
I have been using this palette every single day since I purchased it one month ago. I know I love a product when I don’t lose interest and the fact that I am still so enthusiastic about it speaks volumes!
I’ve mostly been using the shimmer shades to line my bottom lash line for daytime. As I have eyelash extensions this really makes my eyes pop. My go-to shades are Dazzling and Drama from the shimmers and Incense and, Volatile and Passion from the mattes.
The Norvina palette by Anastasia BH is a must have item in my opinion and I would happily throw all my other palettes out and use this for the rest of my life.
Have you tried the Anastasia BH Norvina palette? What did you think?
