The Burt’s Bees Sensitive range

When I think of Burt’s Bees, I think of natural and nourishing products for the face and body.

I have used Burt’s Bees products on and off for many years and have always been a fan of their hydrating lip balms and travel sized products (perfect for my overseas trips!).

When I was asked if I’d like to trial some products from their Sensitive range I jumped at the chance.

I was sent the Night Cream and Daily Moisturising Cream to trial and review. I typically like to use products for a few weeks before giving a review as this gives a chance for the product to work on my skin. As some background info, my skin is dry/normal and I do suffer from sensitivity from time to time. Being in my thirties means I look for products that help with the ageing process. I do suffer from hormonal breakouts so I do require my skincare to address all of these concerns.

So let’s get to the review!

The Night Cream* is designed to hydrate sensitive skin overnight without causing redness or irritation. It contains softening cotton extract to help replenish the outer layer of skin and help to protect against harsh cleansers and soaps. This cream is 98.9% natural, fragrance free, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested and is specially formulated for sensitive skin.

After using this cream for a few weeks I came to really enjoy it. It has a milky texture and is quite light for a night cream. I found it absorbed easily so I didn’t go to bed with sticky skin. It has a pleasant texture and a nice scent; it smells fresh and clean and it didn’t feel like I was adding heavy gunk to my face. My skin was pretty soft in the morning which I am really happy about. Overall I am happy with the Burt’s Bees Night Cream and plan to use it during the summer months as it is quite light (I prefer a heavier cream during Melbourne’s cold months).

The Daily Moisturising Cream* is similar to the Night Cream and also contains softening cotton extract, is 98.9% natural, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. It is designed to be used daily to moisturise sensitive skin all day without causing redness or irritation.

I really enjoyed this as a daily moisturiser as it was soothing, light and absorbed quickly into my skin. I found it perfect to wear underneath makeup as it absorbed super fast and didn’t leave a sticky feeling behind. The texture is light and fluffy and felt really pleasant on the skin.

Overall I have enjoyed the Burt’s Bees Sensitive range and recommend it if you suffer from easily irritated skin.

If I had to pick one product to purchase I would choose the Daily Moisturising Cream as it’s perfect to apply in the morning underneath makeup or just on its own. While I like the Night Cream I typically prefer something a bit richer during Winter so I will probably reach for this in the warmer months.
