I recently added some new beauty products to my collection and thought I’d share them with you.
Over the last few years my spending has slowed way down on beauty products, and now I only try to buy what I need (those days of browsing Priceline for new products are long gone honey). However, I do make the occasional spontaneous purchase here and there; old habits truly do die hard!
So here’s the newest additions to my collection!
Ere Perez Wild Pansy Tinted Lipbar* in Life. Ere Perez recently revamped their famous lip bars and kindly sent me one for review purposes. I have actually tried these before and they are just as good as I remember. As the name suggests, these are tinted lipsticks that leave a sheer tint on the lips while keeping them moisturised and smooth. Life is a lovely soft red and for someone who is a bit scared of full blown red lipstick it’s the perfect shade to start with.
Mecca Max Skin Halo Diamond Dust in Solid Gold. I was in Mecca recently and before I knew it my hand was covered in swatches, the Diamond Dust being one of them. This is a super gorgeous highlighting powder that feels like fairy dust (well, what I imagine fairy dust to feel like) and leaves cheekbones shiny like no other. There are three shades to choose from and after much deliberation I settled on Solid Gold, a soft yet very pigmented powder that can be seen from the moon. I sadly didn’t have a chance to photograph it properly as I dropped it so the powder is completely shattered (#ripSkinHalo). But, it is beautiful and I can’t wait to pair this with a glossy lip and wavy hair during summer.
Batiste Dry Shampoo in Pink Pineapple. Dry shampoo is my saviour and by the end of the working week my hair is literally 85% made up of it. I have gone through countless cans and always prefer the Batiste range as it works the best for my hair. Pink Pineapple is a nice subtle scent and isn’t too overpowering and more importantly, it does a great job of soaking up my oily roots and leaving it feeling fresh and dry. Obviously nothing beats the feel of freshly washed hair however dry shampoo is the next best thing, especially when I’m too lazy to wash it. Also, I just realised that Batiste is a British brand, is cruelty free and totally vegan so that’s awesome and makes me feel better about using it.
So that’s the recent additions to my collection! I am really looking forward to wearing the Skin Halo highlighter during the festive season and going for a bit more of a glam look, because most days I only wear the bare minimum.
Have you made any beauty purchases lately?
